QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Feb 4, 2015 -> 05:37 PM) Why the hell would you do that? Because this is America, the land of the free and home of the brave?

  6. This off-season has put the White Sox in the right direction for contention. There's 162 games overall in the regular season and if we can put together a formula on the field that results in winning, then having Sale up there as our starting pitcher in Game 1 of a playoff series will make us a favorite to win and go far in the postseason. One can only hope...

Lame people post in this thread.
  8. When I first heard of this news I couldn't help but think of Paul Newman's 1981 drama: "Fort Apache, The Bronx." Two police officers sitting in their squad car, shot dead in the middle of the day.
  9. QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 02:52 PM) My wife really likes the idea of an all-in-one computer. She was looking at a HP. Thoughts? I've worked on a couple of HP All-in-One desktop's and first thing I noticed is lack of a CD/DVD drive. Since I work on computers and still have a lot of useful CD's I carry around, this was kind of a bummer. Another thing is they all come w/ Windows 8. If is not used to the new tile based Metro interface this could be a bit like going to a basic PC class just to re-learn how to navigate between your Desktop and the Windows Store. Other then that, they are fast and convenient since all you have is just the monitor and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Shoot me for posting about a film that won't be released until January 2015, but I am excited to see a Michael Mann movie back on the big screen. Highly respect his work and the trailer to this new film looks like classic 'Mann' all the way. Blackhat:

Are people just not into Eggnog anymore? I went grocery shopping last night and was amazed at the amounts of eggnog that were on sale. Dean's 1qt eggnog 2 for $1. Unfortunately the expiration date was the day of the sale. I myself have not had any eggnog but once finals are over next week that will change.
  14. No doubt Hahn deserves a good grade for upgrading the weakest part of our team last year. Now to get a bat or two to fill-in that hole in LF and C.
