Ah ok thanks. I'd still says its way too early for Walker. I wouldn't mind seeing Mitchell, Dan Johnson, Phegley as the September bench players getting the call(to go along with Axelrod and Veal)

Anything less than 2/12 is sorta an insult to the year he has had and what he's done for this team.

Trading for a backup catcher is pointless. Flowers can handle the staff and hold his own defensively. As long as a.j stays healthy this is a non concern. As far as relievers...I'd love to get Huston street or Balfour... However like everyone else I wouldn't be interested in moving any pieces from within the top 10 prospects.

Long time lurker...infrequent poster but I'm 27...sox fan since I was around 10 and I absolutely love hawk. I guess your demographic is way younger than me.. I like the fact that he's a homer and is biased. I agree with others when I say it's sorta blasphemous to even attempting to remove hawk. Maybe Robin Ventura was picked to partially deflect some of the fans' dissatisfaction away from KW and the current state of the franchise. After all, had they picked your guy Francona, then they would have created more of a "win now" mentality and fans would be less forgiving with an outsider (comparatively, of course he managed Jordan with the Barons back in the day) at the helm. Or Bill Melton, for example. He's MUCH worse than Harrelson, he's borderline indecipherable or incoherent. Should we be precluded from criticizing him? Someone might express admiration for Hawk's lasting this long as a broadcaster with the Sox, over so many years...yet others would quickly say he's just not good anymore for the team or its future and not be wrong. At least with Harry, the Cubs were "lovable" and it became part of their brand and image. Does Harrelson add to or detract from the bottom line? I would have a hard time imagining many teenagers or 20-somethings that he appeals to...as opposed to fans in their 30's, 40's and 50's (and above).

Sale right now has the most confidence than any other pitcher in the bullpen. I'd support the idea.

Fields looked just awful at the plate. He was flat out missing so many pitches down the middle of the plate that it was sickening. I can't believe the posters here that think he should stay on th club when the Sox are in a race...

How much worse could he be than Richards? He'd throw strikes...but more than likely give up many hits. Would anyone wanna take a chance and sign him?
