  1. Keep writing those articles, boys. Any PR + winning = More Sox fans for years to come. I could care less. They would never see a party like the one if the White Sox won. You know why? They wouldn't be invited.
  2. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) Pat Robertson says its the end of the world. Pat Robertson IS the end of the world.
  3. QUOTE(Stocking @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) side note i must have been running next to someone with a Go Sox on their chest cause for a good 5miles I kept hearing "Go Sox". Brought me a big smile every time. Great! You heard me!!! Congrats! Next stop...The Ironman Triathlon!!!
  4. QUOTE(TLAK @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) Bradford. Notice how Francona pulled him after the top of the order in chicago even though he looked OK. Now the bottom guys haven't seen him. And, Rowand hits knucklers real well. And Chad Bradford by the looks of it.
  5. na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey...SUCK IT WAKEFIELD!!!
  6. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) I would be looking at a relief pitcher in the 6th I'd warm someone up but send Freddy back out there.
  7. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) Note what I said... "right here's your ballgame" I didn't say it was OVER. But if Ortiz launched one into the stands, we weren't going to come back. That was a key moment in the game. That was my point. kap...I know what you are saying, but this team isn't about to quit fighting. So, even if Papi hit a three run bomb, I still think they had the chance to come back. But, it's moot!!!
  8. Not the end of the game. Not the end of the series. Not the end of the world. It's alright.
  9. This isn't bad until the game's over and it says the White Sox lost. We aren't there yet. It's a 4 1/2 inning game...let's go get 'em.
  10. Freddy's the kind of guy (and Ozzie's the kind of manager) to do it. But I hope they don't. Unless we are leading by 10 the next time Manny comes up.
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) I dont know how they do it. Most I ever ran in 1 sitting was 8 miles and that totally wasted me. All involved get some serious props for even participating. You ran while sitting?!?!
  12. Who is this David Wells you are speaking of? Is that the 2005 ALDS Game 2 losing pitcher? Cuz that's how I will remember him.

    Neuticles

I personally like the 100% success rate. 100% SUCCESS RATE?!?! Success of what? Replacing nards with nards? No pet suicides? Next thing you know they'll make sweaters and booties for dogs. What? They do? Damn...thought I had a good idea there.
  14. i'm not sure if he's eligible, but how about a member of our own team? Scott Podsednik? I know it isn't huge, but people wrote him off last year as a one year wonder. Yes, he hit more homers and had more RBI's, but his average is higher, OBP is higher and his SB are on par with what he did last year. He played more games last year and had 70 SB...played around 125 this year and had 59 SBs? Just a thought.

    Weather

    QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 05:25 PM) cold weather windy Not that cold...mid 60's. Also, rain all weekend.
  16. QUOTE(madbilly @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) I at work stuck listening to The SportsBash with Erik Kuselias, and all of a sudden he's on the Sox bandwagon. This is the same guy who ripped the Sox all season long, and if I remeber correctly he said that the Red Sox would beat the Sox if the meet in the playoff's. I just can't stand this guy, he is the biggest frick'n hypocrite in radio. Call in! Make your voice heard!!!
  17. QUOTE(zach61 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) My 2 dogs get "rbi cookies" which are just milk bones, and the 2 dogs and the cat get "homerun hotdogs" during every game. This started a while ago when I promised them a hot dog as a treat if the Sox batter hit a homer and have stuck to it since then. I was in the basement during the 5th and was running up and down the stairs to give them their "rbi cookies." They actually learned the difference between my yelling for a homerun and an rbi. When the error was made, they had a confused look because they didn't recognize the yell. When Iguchi came up to bat, I looked at them and told them to tell Iguchi that they want their "homerun hotdogs" and when he hit it and I yelled, the 2 dogs and the cat ran up the stairs straight to the fridge and sat there looking for their hotdog. The cat only got his normal fingernail sized piece, but the 2 dogs got a whole hotdog instead of splitting 1 in half. I'm guessing your pets are fat?
  18. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) Didn't see this posted but The Game and Dr. Dre are Sox fans. Just cuz they wear the hat doesn't make them Sox fans.

    TomKat expecting

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 10:54 AM) Hopefully his son grows up sane and rips on scientology. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are 2 of the weirdest people ever. It's ok if he cracks the egg, cuz sometimes you just gotta say, "What the f--k?"
  20. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Well, it looks like we've got ourselves a nice gathering of C-List celebrities. Can anyone check where Kathy Griffin's allegiance lies? Well, she is related to my college roommate who's from Palos Heights and is a Sox fan...hmmmmm.
  21. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) more are Kanye West, Mr. T, Doobie Brothers, and Bernie Mac. Probably Bernie and Kanye West were already mentioned. ALL of the Doobie Brothers? (Y'know, they aren't really brothers.)
  22. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) Stone would have been an excellent choice. Him and Steve Phillips work well together. Some here think he's an idiot for being a bad GM but he does his homework and balances knowledge of stats and tools well. He doesn't phone in his color commentary. Plus him and Stone have good chemistry. Unfortunately, Berman's ego means he is the guys who swoops in for big baseball games even though he doesn't know that much Berman is the face of ESPN. As much as Dan Patrick and Stuart Scott work 3-4 different shows, Berman has been there since the beginning with Bob Ley. And Patrick and Stuart, that I know of, have never done play-by-play. At least Boomer isn't a one trick pony (except for his nicknames, of course).
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) LOL Can of Corn... Well, everyone at the Sox Convention knows you, don't they?
