  1. No one gives a flying f*** about your fantasy team.
  2. He's still good friends with Paul though, if that means anything. About the only good thing you can say right now is that's he's not trying to leave on bad terms with the program itself. I still think a team would be stupid to take a chance on him in the late first round, even in a weak draft and potential lock-out year.
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 04:06 AM) I think you're the only person I've seen say it was a cover up. It was a cover-up for why he wasn't playing in the tournament, yes.
  4. The difference is the EVO is 4g while the iPhone isn't. That's a gigantic difference. You'd be stupid to settle for anything less, no offense.
  5. I have a Thunderbolt, which I'm told is basically Verizon's EVO. I would never ever get a non-4g phone again. So goddam fast it's amazing. Anyone who goes with 3g at this point is a fool.
  6. Reading the Tribune story on it, I thought the ND response was almost a joke. I mean, there's no way they could be serious with some of the stuff they said.
  7. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 01:41 AM) Really? Look at Garret Anderson. Dude had a great start to his career, WAS AN MVP CANDIDATE, led his team to a World Series title, and once he turned 32, his offense disappeared. Dunn isn't half the player that Anderson was, I'm afraid to see what happens in the next four years. Yup. Cannot believe people forgot about him. Man was the fricken' ALL STAR GAME MVP AND HOME RUN DERBY CHAMP in his last great year before hitting 32. Then look what happened...
  8. I don't know. I kind of agree with this thread. Dunn reminds me of one of those guys at the tail end of his career who just signed his last big contract and decided to cash it in. I don't blame him. I'd probably do the same, but I guess that's why it was a dumb contract to give out in the first place.
  9. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) And 2 blown saves to show for it. We have at least 5.
  10. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) I do believe we're 0-4 in saves (or 4-4 in blown saves, if you're a glass-half-full of diarrhea type of person), if that answers your question I thought it was 1 for 7.
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) Thornton got 2 outs with he bases loaded. He got just one while the bases were loaded.
  12. Thorton just saved us a mil for when we resign Danks.
  13. I picked Dunn as my preseason PotY (before all that news came out) and I know I wasn't the only one.
  14. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) Chris Widger. Why? No real reason. Mainly because I haven't seen his name around these parts in a while. Have to get his name on the site again. ...
  15. I'm not watching, but did we really drop another fly ball? I swear, we have set the record for most routine dropped fly balls in a single season just ten games in.
  16. Doubled, I think. He of course would have homered had he known he had the opportunity to get 10k.
  17. Lastings was on deck when Garret Jones hit the 10k in Pirates history, or he'd be on that list too.
  18. Konerko is about the only one on the roster who "deserves" it.
  19. Man, that Fuld catch was one of the best I've ever seen easily. Even more impressive on replay. Also, put me in the camp of people who thought number missed the base.
