Mark Buehrle and the Cardinals
This article is really good. If we're going to trade Mark, we can only hope our deal turns out as well as Cleveland's: All-Star Caliber CF Front of the rotation Starter

MAKE A TRADE
QUOTE(GreenSox @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 09:49 PM) I agree - as time passes, there are more sellers and fewer buyers. Also, the sooner you trade a player, the more games he gets to help his new club, which means the new club will pay more for him. On the other hand, right at the deadline, desparate teams do desparate things and you can really make a killing if you get lucky. This might be true, but if Mark is on the block, he is the best player available on the trade market. There may be fewer buyers, but his impact will make any contending team much stronger.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
Was at the game and it was really great. Vintage Mark. It was nice to forget about all these trade talks for a while...

Dye trade rumors heating up
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 05:26 PM) Billingsley and Betemit for Dye and ______ would be fantastic. Betemit spends the rest of the year bouncing around the infield then takes over for Iguchi in '08 along with Billingsley taking a rotation spot. Having a power bat like Betemit at 2B would allow for another slap/light hitter at another position like LF/CF. Also adding 2 more PRE-ARB players like Betemit and Billingsley while removing the large contracts of say Contreras, Iguchi and Dye would allow for great financial flexibility this offseason. What a dream trade that would be. A guy can dream, can't he? Also, trading Dye for a serious relief arm actually improves the 2007 club. I really hope this kind of thing gets done.

MAKE A TRADE
Can we really get value back for Mark? It's not like 200+ IP, If we decide to sell, Mark will be the top starting pitcher available. If he is traded, KW damn well better get a king's ransom.

Sox won't trade for prospects....
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 01:49 PM) The funny this is, the best player KW acquired this offseason was a prospect. Weren't all of KW's trades this offseason for prospects? Gio Floyd Masset Danks Sisco Aardsma Did I forget someone? Who of that group was considered "MLB Talent"? None.

I really hate the 30 at 30. I do not need stock footage cluttering up my view of the game. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 05:39 PM) 5 responses to my question....I love you guys! Heaven forbid we ever score from first on a double also. come on. everyone knows White Sox baseball is stranding men on 3rd.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 05:36 PM) Only Rowand but that's a given. The ball was hit pretty hard and tailing away from CF pretty deep into the gap, I don't think Owens had much of a chance at all. Yoiu have underrated Anderson's defense. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 05:37 PM) Nope, drilled the gap you know, the kind of hits we never ever get.

Dye for Abreu?
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) I'm with iamshak, he's put the talent on the field, on paper, this is one helluva team with one helluva lineup, they are just sucking it up right now. Is that his fault? No. The bullpen, even on paper, is not talented and un-justifiable on a team that considered it a serious divisional contender.
