  1. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 01:05 PM) Why do either one of these videos make him an assclown? If you can't identify what in either of those videos makes him an assclown, then you probably are one yourself. I'm j/k, mostly.
  2. If WGN is trying to put Bozo's Circus back on the air, I have candidate #1:
  3. In case there's a question, here's our assclown first round pick in action: And just in case you were wondering, he's not well spoken... You have no idea what he is talking about because he has no idea what he is talking about.
  4. If GOD is with us... who can be against us?
  5. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) Amare Stoudamire can score inside on a lot of dunks and rebound fairly well. But he can't shoot a jumper consistantly. Tyrus Thomas can dunk like a mad man, block shots and get rebounds. He cannot shoot a jumper consistantly as well. They both have the same skill set, Stoudamire is just a larger body in weight. By your logic, Shaq and Tyrus have the same skill set. Stoudamire is a natural scorer and the offense flows through him. It is hard to envision Tyrus becoming such a player
  6. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 09:25 AM) Alright my extreme joy as turned to total concern here...WTF. I know this may be dumb question but any chance KW does a sign and trade to get more for Buehrle? Not at that value. I absolutely can't see him doing it.
  7. I'm so freaking happy I could almost cry
  8. Don't ask and you won't receive. Jones was supposedly traded for Reggie Abercrombie.
  9. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) It's not such a dumb question. He wasn't including Sosa in the discussion. Even if you go Buehrle over El Duque (and, in fairness, Hernandez has been great so far this year -- not saying it will last, but it's still something to say you'll sit a guy with a sub-3 era), you still have to sit either Glavine, Pedro, Maine, or Perez. I don't see any clear-cut choice. Someone was saying that Pedro's return is uncertain... if it ever occurs.
  10. The Brewers are almost the perfect team to trade Mark to: lots of good, up and coming players to acquire. Also, I would imagine they would be the least likely team to extend a contract offer to Mark, putting us back in the driver's seat to re-sign him.
  11. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 06:23 PM) The treatment of Anderson and Iguchi v. Uribe, Cintron, Terraro, and Gonzalez is kind of a head scratcher. Iguchi is far and away a better player then Uribe yet he seems to find his way to the Guillen doghouse and Uribe who could be one of the worst players since the beginning of last season in all of baseball gets a free pass. If Anderson was healthy it would be an interesting scernario. It is a head scratcher. We all know Ozzie hates white players like Iguchi.
  12. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 07:28 AM) While I see a Count trade being more like a salary dump in tha we won't get much back, I think Count might thrive in a weaking hitting national league and make KW look stupid again. If we get two top prospects, Count could go on to win two Cy Youngs and I wouldn't care.
  13. You forgot to mention Jesus in your list.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 05:59 PM) Sweeney isn't ready and Gonzalez is crap. Neither one should be in the majors yet. Sweeney is just slightly more acceptable is all. Precisely, we benefit more in the long run with Sweeney in the minors at the moment.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 11:02 AM) This is like the 3rd article I've read where they made Contreras out to be a big-time starting pitcher who could command serious talent on the trade market. This does surprise me but I'm desperately hoping it is true, if they could get some good talent back in return for Contreras and his contract it could be HUGE for this franchise. Remember, after Marky Mark, Steve Trachsel is the #2 pitcher in this market. If we put up Jose, he easily hurdles Stevey-Poo.
  16. I'll see a .700 clip in this team about the time I see clutch hitting and clutch pitching out of the bullpen. He have neither the bullpen to shut down close games nor the offense to blow games open. This has to be the worst kind of team to watch: starters going 6-8 innings regularly and keeping the games close (maybe even having leads) and then an overtaxed starter/sucky bullpen giving up leads late in games.
  17. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 02:13 PM) And so it begins. and so it ends.
