Fox needs to be fired tonight
-
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 04:10 AM) In the past Culberson runs over Contreras before the ball gets to him and is safe anyway. How is that preferable? And Contreras easily could have broken his knee then
-
Oh my!
-
Blocked plate but they never overturn this
-
Maddon left Montgomery in way too long
-
Taylor! Cubs fans hate Rondon
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 02:00 AM) Taking out Kershaw is going to backfire and everyone knows it Rizzo owns him
-
There we go Puig! Thought it was gone off his reaction
-
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 02:16 AM) The horseshoe continues. So when does Altuve or Verlander get hurt
-
Kershaw looks like garbage. Dodgers in all sorts of trouble this series
-
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 12:53 AM) Is Grandal hurt too? The Dodgers lineup looks like its missing more than just those two. No he just sucks now
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 01:11 AM) No Seager really hurts the Dodgers. You don't like k. Hernandez batting 4th in the NLCS?
-
Dodgers lineup looks pretty bad without Seager.
-
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Oct 14, 2017 -> 06:07 PM) Losing Seager sucks but Chris Taylor is a pretty damn good fall back option. I don't think the loss is as huge as its initially perceived. Taylor's RH bat might be a big help against against Lester and Q. We will see. He plays outfield for them, not SS. Won't it be k*** at SS now
-
Dodgers 11-16 without Seager this year
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 14, 2017 -> 05:37 PM) No Cory Seaver this series Good god, horseshoe
-
Rumor is Cardinals gonna be all over him. Still think Swarzak will be Sox closer

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 06:18 PM) I agree. If you are off the base and you are tagged, you are out. Now they can look at it better. I thought replay was to get the call right. Yes it gets a little old waiting on replay when these things happen, but players can adapt. They have crazy slides to avoid tags. If it's OK to be off the base when you are tagged, why wouldn't the ball beat him so he's out also apply, and the neighborhood call on DP attempts. I'm still trying to figure out the dropped 3rd strike. As the rule is written he should have been out. Is that reviewable? Did Dusty not know the rule? If that was reviewable, IMO that is a fireable offense, especially since Dusty has no contract for next year anyway. Dusty and the umpires didn't know the exact rule.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 06:25 PM) I mean if you want to get REALLY technical then due to electrons the baserunner is never actually in contact with the base, ditto for the glove/ball and the runner. And I would also say that there are numerous times a player doesn't touch home when they slide feet/hand first, but only Adrian Gonzalez gets punished for that
-
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 04:55 PM) This nonsense of basic rules dont apply because it hurts my sensibilities is nuts. I am sure National fans are upset about the dropped 3rd strike rule at this moment as well. Here is a solution. Block or catch the ball. No, no vertical safe zone. Its simple. Stay on the bag. He wasn't pushed off the bag or prevented entry. He slid and popped up. Its no different than someone switching their feet and losing contact with the base and getting tagged. Keep a body part connected with the bag at all times and you are good. Lobaton took an aggressive secondary and paid the price for it. Yeah I think it should be up to the runner to stay on the bag. The part that is frustrating is how conclusive evidence on replays doesn't seem to mean the same to various teams.

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 03:59 PM) Lots of irrational Cubbie hate here! Go Chicago! These guys aren't assholes, the real asshole is the National's Daniel Murphy anti-gay bible thumping loon. Glad to see he doesn't advance. Go cubs! Yep Lackey is just an amazing guy. There's a bunch of assholes on every team. A lot of us on here have worked in sports before and the less you know about your favorite players behind the scenes, the better.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 05:01 AM) quite simply one of the luckiest games I’ve ever seen a team win. Turner making a bad out at home in the first. Wieters doesn’t block a ball in the dirt that leads to a run. 0 hard hit balls in the inning off of scherzer. A failed/incorrect drop third strike call. A catchers interference. Another wild pitch letting in a run. Werth flat missing a fly ball. Multiple should have been passed balls that were lucky enough to hit the ump and stay nearby. An iffy pickoff replay on a call that is driving many baseball fans bonkers Sounds like Wieters is only one who knew it should have been dead ball. Umpires and Dusty didn't know
-
QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 05:51 AM) Cubs handled the Dodgers fairly easily last year. The Cubs won't be scared of the Dodgers that much is certain. Keep Blanton off the field and it's pretty even
-
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 05:52 AM) Its real simple. Catch the ball. Watching catchers who cant block. Watching people throw the ball around. The trailing runner get picked. This is a fundamentally dumb team. It was unwatchable at times. A mediocre defensive team wins this game. Between this and watching the Indians game last night. People need more defensive work. Yep gave away so many runs tonight on defense or due to stupid positioning.
