For Bryce definitely. For Manny, not sure if Padres would have gotten involved. Yankees likely would have been more aggressive.

He had Dodgers getting Bryce months ago. He was dead on about Padres though.

Not saying it’s right, but apparently Kaplan said sometime this offseason that Boras told the Sox to not even bother. I don’t buy it.

I’ve given up hope as it seemed Sox had a chance if it was just them and Phillies offering long-term deals. Now that these other teams are involved, it seems like a lost cause.

Sure, I think the lack of comment was more to Merkin referencing offering more guaranteed for Harper. Who knows, maybe Hahn is scared to say they’re offering Bryce 275....as you never know what owner might see that and steal him away

I would respect them so much more if they just admitted they blew it and will learn from it and do everything they can to improve the team and earn the trust of the fans. Sick and tired of hearing how hard they tried to match some of Manny’s needs....but not the money aspect.
