  1. Didn't Justin Maxwell hit one into the upper deck last year (6/10/12)
  2. fathom replied to flavum's topic in FutureSox Board
QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 02:29 AM) Huge power and a very nice walk rate, but still an awful K rate. I'd chalk it up to a player coming from an advanced DI college baseball conference and doing well against younger competition in rookie ball. 4-5 2B, 2HR
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:36 AM) I'm going to listen to it now to put me in a better mood entering the weekend. It probably won't make you feel better about next season
  4. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:31 AM) Thank goodness we have Garcia to add a tad bit of excitement. Get em tomorrow RIENZO!!!! Seeing a lineup like this tomorrow would at least keep me interested: ADA Beckham Alexei Dunn Konerko Garcia Gillaspie Viciedo Phegley
  5. 14 homers in last 42 innings for Axelrod.
  6. TRTR! Well done, there's going to be a lot of losing by the big league club for a while.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:27 AM) They traded their closer, all part of the plan for Rodon The best hope is that someone's stock blows up (ie: Hoffman) and there are basically 2 or 3 players that could go #1 (like this year)
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:26 AM) Axelrod must give up a home run every time he pitches Good thing Ventura's playing for the tie
  9. QUOTE (daggins @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:24 AM) Moving Axe to the BP just seems to accentuate his meat-throwing tendencies. Keep him around to lose games and then back to independent baseball next year. He can take Flowers with him.
  10. Goodness, I hate 2013 Sox baseball
  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:23 AM) Axe has allowed 21 HR's in 106 innings this season That's more innings than Danks
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:22 AM) It seems stupid to bring him in to immediately ruin what has been a pretty good game. Bring him in earlier to lose the game. Why do it in the ninth or extras of tie games? Like somebody said here, it's like putting it on a tee. Because they're basically out of pitchers.
  13. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:22 AM) Axelrod is trying to get us Rodon, that's all. Problem is, the Astros bullpen is doing an amazing job of late for them (in a way to get them Rodon).
  14. Arcia has some impressive power. Twins have a chance to have a big time lineup in a few years. Let's hope their pitching continues to suck.
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:19 AM) Axelrod fits in with the long line of the Broadway's, Diazes, hitting tees that we have seen employed till they started drafting power pitches. As soon as this month is over, Petricka and Webb will be up getting some of these innings.
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:19 AM) They should send Axelrod to the draft next year to announce the Sox pick. and Keppinger
  17. They might as well just DFA Axelrod and keep Leesman up.
  18. Axelrod is just awesome. It's amazing how terrible he is the last few months.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:11 AM) As much as I hate Bernstein, he is by far the most qualified member of the Chicago media to interview Hahn. I thought it was a fantastic interview, especially the first 10 minutes or so.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:06 AM) Yeah, said he doesn't care what people want to call it. I thought it was interesting that he made no mention of trying to field a significantly better team in 2014.
  21. QUOTE (mike89128 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:03 AM) Perfect example of the frustration felt by Manto and Baines. Five hittable balls, and he overswung on everyone of them. The guy is regressing big time. He is horrible at adjusting his hands depending on where the pitch is.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 04:02 AM) Miggy just took Mariano deep to tie it. He's incredible, and one of the biggest reasons 2014 make sense for rebuilding is that it's not realistic to think you can compete with this Tigers team next year.
  23. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 02:59 AM) What's your take on Viciedo? Here is a guy that looked like he had finally figured it out last year and this year is garbage at the plate in my opinion I think he needs a change of scenery, but if you're in a rebuilding season next year, there's no harm in holding on to him another year unless you get great value for him.
  24. Just give Viciedo the Rios-makeover and change his stance. He's the king of the foul ball to the right side. Beckham was similar to this when he had his old stance as well.
  25. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 03:56 AM) I haven't listened to it yet - did he expand on it when he said it? Rebuilding can obviously mean different things to different people...but interesting. He said call it retooling or rebuilding, he doesn't really care. Once again, his first focus was on spending more money on amateur players
