  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:31 AM) You must be jesting. This season we have been given plentiful plays to choose from #1 has got to be Beckham's antics to drop the ball vs the Mets
  2. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 03:31 AM) Ill take Schoop a few low level prospects for Peavy I don't get what's so special about Schoop after looking at his stats.

    Semien 1-1 HR, 4 walks
  4. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:25 AM) Orioles going after Peavy now Unless they're willing to give up Gausman, I can't see them being a good match.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:18 AM) Keon Barnum heating up a bit. Still striking out a ton and has a very high error total for a 1B Anderson's lack of extra base hit ability is a bit concerning, but nothing he can't grow into.
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 03:14 AM) Just thought I'd point out that it's no cinch that Rizzo will be a better player than Cashner when all is said and done. Not that the Cubs would ever need pitching, of course I worry about Cashner's ability to stay healthy. I have been hoping that Cashner would end the year with a better WAR than Rizzo.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 03:01 AM) There's honestly some chance he gets thrown out if he tagged up -- I don't recall how quickly Lough got to his feet but that was a shallow fly He would have been safe if he tagged up. I agree with you about the play not being an easy decision for him.
  8. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:53 AM) I don't know how can you watch him play this last week and put your name on the line to recommend him. He's hitting a hell of a lot better of late than he was weeks ago.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:52 AM) He is also a terrible defender and if you do tie or take the lead the better defense is already on the field. Don't act like other coaches don't make that switch In the 7th, not all that often I would suggest but I have no stats to prove it. Now, if the Sox were winning at that point, I would absolutely agree with the move.
  10. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:50 AM) Rios is still hitting .313/.333/.469 in the 2nd half. If it weren't for those "scout" things we might be able to move him for a decent return. I don't think for one second a scout cares about that play in the 9th. If anything, they might think they can get him to care more playing on a better team.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 01:48 AM) Not really, but go ahead and rant some more Why, at best that decision is to play for a tie. Viciedo is one of the only guys hitting well on the team right now, and was more than likely going to bat again.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 01:48 AM) Are you serious? After watching that moronic play you are not FURIOUS like me?? It is an insult to the game of baseball to watch what just happened. Infuriating. I'd be a hell of a lot more mad if this was last season. Now, it's just 2013 White Sox baseball and one game closer to the deadline and an eventual top 5 pick.
  13. BTW, what a dumb decision by Ventura to pull Viciedo in the 7th for a runner.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:44 AM) Any team that trades for Rios has a MORON for a GM in my opinion. My least favorite player in f***ing White Sox history. My god he is a lousy baseball player!!! I could think of 20 off the top of my head that were more unlikable and worst contributors.
  15. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:43 AM) Wow is this team dumb. Holland did not get a breaking ball over and yet they gotta swing away. Gillaspie struggles big time with breaking pitches
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 02:41 AM) We call this Venturaball You let your players get away with brutal decisions all year, and it is highlighted in situations like that one. I said it last night, but it's amazing they're even considering bringing him back.
  17. haha, what awful base running by Rios.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 01:19 AM) Someone texted me...he still out there? Tekotte ran for Tank
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 01:13 AM) Rios pulled? Where you see that?
  20. fathom replied to flavum's topic in FutureSox Board
What an incredible run by Semien
  21. I hate seeing PK go out like this. Just let him hit one more homer at home and then let him retire.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 07:00 PM) I'm of the same opinion. I can see how the Sox could talk themselves into not doing so, though. It just seems like way too big of a risk to hold on to him and go for it next year and/or trade him this offseason/next deadline. I can't see how his stock will ever be higher in relation to who is available.
  23. In my opinion, it would be a big mistake to not move Peavy by the end of the month.
  24. fathom replied to flavum's topic in FutureSox Board
By my calculations, for the month of July, Semien has a slash line of 370/500/710
  25. The Phillies signing M.A. Gonzalez is great news for those that want Peavy traded to Red Sox.
