Nestor Molina still doing what he does best...giving up hits
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:09 AM) The recent industry trend is to try to stretch starters out towards 120 pitches per outing. Not necessarily trying to average that much, but definitely try to get them used to being in excess of 100-105 In that video on Crain that balta posted, Ventura stated he wanted to try and keep the pitchers around 100.
  3. Ventura is not afraid to let these starters go a long time out there on the mound.
  4. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:02 AM) I want no part of Middlebrooks. Yuck. Me neither, but it does fit the mold of who KW targeted in the past. Does anyone know if Middlebrooks was ever good in the Arizona Fall League?
  5. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 03:01 AM) So were Hawk and Stone suggesting that a deal with Rios could go down tonight or tomorrow? No
  6. Keppinger makes it seem like the opposition has 12 guys on the field. I can't recall more than 4-5 fly balls he's hit over the outfielders head.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:58 AM) I'd hate that. That's just asking for failure. Hearing Crain talking about his shoulder, I don't think we get anything for him unless it's a waiver deal.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:57 AM) Lots of power, lots of strikeouts, good chance he won't pan out? Yeah, it does remind me of Flowers now that you say it. He accomplished more last year in the majors than Flowers could dream of.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:53 AM) I'd have zero problem putting middlebrooks out there sharing time with Gillaspie and seeing who earns the spot, but man, I don't think I'd take him back for anything of value. I'd take him back for something like Danks, but I'd rater even get a solid a-ballet for Crain. You can always find guys like middlebrooks who are remote chances/recovery chances. He'll in a yet we might dump Viciedo for a guy like that. I'd absolutely love Crain for Middlebrooks

    2-3, 2 doubles for Semien
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:50 AM) Didn't people say the Braves weren't really heavy on high ceiling guys right now? They're not at all. Disappointing year for their farm system.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:48 AM) Rios I know they're interested in Rios and ADA, but they seemed to be implying it's more than "possible"
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:47 AM) Hype. He went back down to AAA earlier this year an is batting .263 with 7 home runs an 28 RBIs in 118 ABs He has 30 home run power, but seems to really struggle making contact
  14. QUOTE (OilCan @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:46 AM) No, what happened? EY Jr. stepped on the back of his leg, looks like Hudson's ankle just snapped.
  15. Stoney and Hawk hinting that White Sox and Rangers possibly making a deal?
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:43 AM) I'd like to have Middlebrooks. I don't know if I can say with certainty how much of the talent of a deal he should comprise, but we should get some guys like him. He's basically the anti-Cecchini
  17. Anyone just see the Hudson injury? Awful
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:37 AM) http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...ws&c_id=cws Sox website saying Middlebrooks part of discussions with Boston for Peavy. Rios and Rangers. If Middlebrooks is involved, the White Sox better be getting someone like Owens as well.
  19. It's so cute when Alexei and Alex try to hit it out to the right of center field.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:31 AM) Really? So why would we pay all that money to Danks again? Yep, ask the Red Sox how nice it is to get a mulligan on bad contracts (last year's trade with Dodgers)
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:32 AM) It was a bad throw, but going to the discussion on PK's defense, that is the type of error he saves. I thought Dunn was solid defensively last year, but he's been horrendous this season

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:30 AM) Yeah, his numbers are notably down in High-A. He's not walking (though he did walk today) and he's not hitting for much power (though he has 4 XBH in his last 6 games). He did homer, but that won't count until that game is finished after it was suspended.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:28 AM) 18 homers in 74 1/3 innings Alexei's best bet to homer again this year is get traded to an AL team and face Danks
  24. Nice timing of Hawk and Stoney bashing the defense and then another Alexei error.
