  1. What in the hell did I just see!! He did seem to have a little more wiggle in his swing there.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2012 -> 02:45 AM) Bleeping failed rundown again. After thinking about it, probably a little different for them with Dunn being involved instead of PK.
  3. Just terrible fundamentals by the team this season outside of hitting the cutoff man.
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ May 2, 2012 -> 02:37 AM) Yeah nice pop up Morel Watch an NL game, and his swing looks on par with most pitchers.
  5. Morel with a hanger but had a very weak swing. Hearing Ventura say he might have to make a move if the struggles continue made my day.
  6. Wow, that was horrendous defense by Viciedo. Sale doesn't have good stuff tonight.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ May 2, 2012 -> 01:24 AM) Any concerns about Sale's fastball velocity? 93? No
  8. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ May 2, 2012 -> 01:20 AM) Does it make sense to move the entire lineup down a spot? Bat Dunn 2nd, Paulie 3rd, AJ 4th, Rios 5th, etc.? Is it better to do that than to plug in automatic outs/DP machines into the 2-hole just because of common wisdom? Better to have Dunn up with no outs and De Aza on than Dunn up with 1 or 2 outs because our "2-hole" guy is terrible. I just don't get putting Alexei there while he's in the middle of his typical early season slump. You can see the big issue in his swing right now is he's not staying on top of the pitch, and dropping his back shoulder a ton.
  9. Still can't get anything going from the #2 spot
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 05:17 PM) I'll say that I am impressed Ventura has stuck with Morel and Beckham so far, but I'm not quite sure at this point what he's thinking while doing so...they've just shown no signs of turning things around...so I'm left wondering what the deadline is before something other than the lineup order is changed. I'm all for Beckham being sent down and Morel staying on the big league club and just working on being aggressive. If Beckham goes down the minors and continues to struggle to hit the ball out of the infield, then it makes it easier to get rid of him after this year. In general though, I think everyone should be way more optimistic about this team's chances to compete in the AL Central as opposed to a month ago. Peavy has looked great, Sale's made a smooth transition to starter, and Dunn no longer looks to be the worst hitter in history. The biggest area for optimism for me is that the Tigers haven't distanced themselves already from the rest of the division.
  11. Sure looks like Cena tore a bicep or broke his arm tonight
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) I keep thinking guys look different at the plate today, but I'm trying to convince myself it's not just the color of their uniforms. I've only started watching since the top of the 7th. Who was the Sox player who "lost" a homer due to the wind?
  13. Much better balance by Viciedo during that AB!
  14. What are the Sox hitting with bases loaded this year?
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) going to be interesting if Santiago goes in the 9th Yep, be nice to get another run. Personally, I'd like Reed to get 8th and then Thornton the 9th.
  16. I haven't followed Saladino as close as I probably should have, but what type of player does he project as at the MLB level?
  17. Shack it is more that it's frustrating Lilly isn't playing more vs LHP
  18. Yay Lillibridge in the lineup against a RHP
  19. A little over 20k on a Saturday night vs Boston is shocking to me. That had to be lower than even the most pessimistic projections could have predicted
  20. Watch Ventura play Lilly tomorrow.
  21. What did Dunn do to cost Sox a run
  22. Changes have to be made on offense. I flat out hate our lefty pitcher lineup.
  23. Please stop having Dunn bat 3rd vs LHP.
  24. Make Lillibridge the 2nd baseman please
