  1. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) IMO Santo is not a HOF... I believe the reason he was voted in this year, has a lot to do with Billy Williams lobby for him. In my opinion, it's cause he's dead and most of the writers thought he was an insufferable prick (to quote some sports radio hosts) and didn't want to deal with him making the HOF while still alive.
  2. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 05:12 PM) Ron Santo is in. That's really a shame. I'm no Cubs fan, but they should have let the guy in while he was alive. I'm sure Cubs fans will say the hand of Theo got Santo in.
  3. Some talk that Cubs might offer Pujols in the 25-30 million range per season but only 4-5 years in length.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:22 AM) The ND fans you know are idiots. Rees is the best option. Not enough experience to just throw him aside. Honestly, everyone I know wants Hendrix as their QB and/or Golson next year.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 03:11 AM) ND vs Fla St. looks interesting. I wish that Jonas Gray was healthy, though. FSU is incredibly boring. Most ND fans I know want ND to lose if it means Rees never starts again.
  6. Be interesting to see where Prince ends up, as Nationals aren't interested. Sounds like it's between Mariners, Rangers, Blue Jays and Cubs.
  7. I love how T. Boone is going to go nuts. Best thing that could have happened for those of us that hate the current format.
  8. Just an awful job the defense on the last two possessions. Lose today and seasons over
  9. Wow do the Bears suck now. Why do football players keep knocking ball down instead of catching it?
  10. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 03:26 AM) it's not fair to give Williams a pass on it. Yes it is, I have no problems with transactions not working out if the decision was logical. That happens
  11. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Dec 3, 2011 -> 11:46 PM) They missed easy shots/layups in the paint. Plus only going 18/27 from the line. They usually do a better job from the free throw line. Also seemed like everytime Gonzaga had a run and cut it within 2 or so, Illinois answered back with a run of their own. I agree with this, but it's also cause the Zags played zero defense. They left Richardson wide open when Illinois had 3 players on the court that couldn't shoot.
  12. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 12:31 AM) I'm going to go the other way on that. This is the 4th Gonzaga game I've watched and this game was the worst they've looked by far in my opinion.....and could've still easily won it. Only December though, a lot can happen for both teams. They haven't beaten anyone good though coming into tonight.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 3, 2011 -> 11:17 PM) Nice comeback for Xavier on Purdue. Down 16 late in the second half and Holloway went nuts from 3. I noticed that Holloway carries the ball on every dribble though. I wish they would call that. If they called that, there'd be 100 turnovers a game. Brandon Paul was doing it all day in the Illinois game, and I was happy they didn't call it.
  14. Illinois playing well against Gonzaga, as Richardson's rebounded from his terrible season last year. The Zags defense is awful...no one gets less from more than Few.
  15. Greg, I can't believe anyone would want one of the most popular players in Sox history to go play for the Cubs.

    2011 TV Thread

Well, last night was the first time I've ever fast forwarded the Office to get it over with. It's supposed to be a comedy, right? James Spader's character was awful on the finale last year, and I can't believe they brought him back in such a big role.
  17. I really don't want to watch Stewart start next year
