7/5 Sox v. Royals
Wow, Peavy couldn't have hung more pitches this inning if he tried. Horrible stuff by him on the mound, as even when he tried to throw harder, he only hit 92 mph. TAKE HIM OUT OZZIE

QUOTE (TomPickle @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 02:53 AM) Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Alexei makes that play. No chance

Sure seemed like we were playing Butler way too up the middle. From my recollection, when he pulls it, it's usually in that same spot.

Really tough inning coming up here for Peavy.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 02:48 AM) We're almost to the point where Brent might be better off playing in the minors everyday and getting his hitting stroke back, but we can't afford to give up his defense and pinch-running. Or you know, we can just play him against lefties. He will probably be on the bench against Chen tomorrow.

Wow, just overmatched there. Please never use this lineup again against RHP.

Just embarrassing for Lillibridge. There really needs to be some sort of roster change made to get another outfielder up with the big league team.
-
7/5 Sox v. Royals
Hell, he should have tried something different and laid down a bunt.

Nice job by Peavy there. Time for our 3 best hitters to make something happen.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 02:35 AM) man he sucks. HARD. Yet one fluke home run and he stays in the spot in front of our only real threat.

7/5 Sox v. Royals
Awful, as he misses the hanging slider. When will our hitters learn they're going to throw 2-0 and 3-2 breaking pitches?
-
7/5 Sox v. Royals
He has absolutely no business facing righties anymore. That was as bad as it gets.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 01:10 AM) Agreed. I would not at all be surprised to see Humber added. This inning, sans Dunn, has been a pleasure to watch. I'm also second in posts in this game thread - can I counteract your bad juju? I think I've won like 4 in a row...but yes, please do!

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 01:08 AM) Alex Rios should consider watching the last two at bats on repeat. Yep, excellent adjustments by both guys

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 01:06 AM) Maybe that will impress Final Vote voters. He's going to make it no matter what. Either he wins the vote or he'll get added on.

Awesome, we'll take it!

That man is awesome. Come on Carlos!

That has to be about Dunn's 30th pop up to the left side this year.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 12:57 AM) Fangraphs. And that would be my worst nightmare and might force me to abandon this team. Bourn is a younger Juan Pierre that can play an above average CF. That type of trade wouldn't happen until this offseason.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) Kind of afraid that we will trade for Bourn. This way Ozzie can have his super slappy attack. Where did this rumor come from?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 12:49 AM) Farmer said only 22-23,000 again today. So much for the fans being "All In." Yeah, was hoping for better crowd with fun win last night and perfect weather. I'll tell you what, our fans just need to show up with more intensity from the beginning and no more Mr. Nice Guy!

Anyone know how many strike outs Lillibridge has against righties in his last 20 at bats or so?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 12:47 AM) My bad. I didn't mention in this hypothetical that we don't have Ramirez. Toss up

Wait, Lillibridge struck out against a righty? No way
