  1. Juan's K rate is 150% higher than last year. Seems like his physical skills are fading away quickly.
  2. OZZIEBALL! Don't worry, not like Butera's known as a great defensive player.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) D the cubs really think Pena is going to start butting bombs just because he had one last night? You better drop some hgh in his coffee He's been swinging better lately...when wind is howling out at Wrigley, he'll be a monster but he's pretty worthless on the road.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:15 PM) Sure, why would you want guys on in front of Konerko and Quentin. He's the perfect 3 hole hitter in front of those guys.
  5. I can't believe Juan has 5 errors on the year. That lead all outfielders?
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:12 PM) I was there when he faced them last Saturday, they were crushing everything he threw Yeah, he looked awful. Check out the Dodgers lineup today. It's as bad as the Twins lineup.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:10 PM) Pretty sure it was a GW 2 run RBI single for some reason. Checked it out...was in the Soria comeback game to cut it to 2 run game.
  8. Rios is 1-12 with 2 outs and RISP. Can't remember him getting that one hit.
  9. AJP with 3 extra base hits and 3 walks in his first 100 ABs.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2011 -> 06:51 PM) Umm... what?
  11. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 4, 2011 -> 06:48 PM) Alex Rios is back!!!!!!! No seriously, I hope he continues to show power and can have respectable numbers by June. Indeed! He's not going anywhere, so need to root for best for him.
  12. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 4, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) Iman staying in the draft? WTF? Yeah, sounds like Bulls told him they'll take him with one of their two late first round picks. He was always a 3 years and leave guy. Great person/teammate/student...I wish the best for him.
  13. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ May 4, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) I wonder if a manager has ever been fired while his team had a game in progress? All I know is I'm going to be refreshing this site quite often tonight and tomorrow hoping to see "Coach X is fired"
  14. Again, playing like a team trying to get their manager fired.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) but give the guy credit - he partied like a rock star Is that what it was? Truth be told, I saw him at Providence, and never thought he'd make it.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:35 PM) And paulie breaks his foot Just stepped away...that bad?
  17. Wow, look at the Dodgers lineup today. Looks like a split-squad lineup.
  18. Juan Pierre is a great guy and have never heard anything bad about him....but someone get him a drug test, as Steve Howe seemed more coherent than Pierre does this year.
  19. Times like this you have to be thrilled that Pierre is one of the most durable players in baseball.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) Ricky was caught 42 times in 1982. So he's about on pace? If we face B. Anderson next week, that should be a few more.
  21. Haha Juan...at least we can see if he can break caught stealing record this season! Anyone know what it is?
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2011 -> 06:15 PM) Well, now the only remaining question is whether we'll get a hit during this shutout. I'm predicting the first ever game where one team hits into 9 double plays in one game.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2011 -> 06:08 PM) If he's going to say that and he thinks that he's part of the problem then he should quit. Otherwise its a copout. Yep, it's like a pity party then for himself.
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 4, 2011 -> 05:53 PM) Shocked no votes for 2003. That team was absolutely stacked. Absolute murderer's row of a line-up with Thomas, Konerko, Ordonez, Lee and Everett. Starting pitching was Loaiza in his near Cy Young year to go along with Colon, Mark, and Garland. That roster should have been winning the World Series. Instead they won 86 games and lost out to a pretty awful Twins team. Konerko was just dreadful that year and we had no semblance of a 5 starter. Those were our downfalls. Nicely done, but a year in which we have a pitcher set the prestigious Mexican strikeout record can't be considered disappointing.
  25. So a thought came to me that really frustrated me about last night. Twice this year, the Sox faced a lefty where they only scored one run against the starter (Braden, Britton). In both of those games, the only run came due to Lillibridge. Why is Ozzie not finding a spot against LHP for one of our few dangerous hitters right now?
