Haha..terrible. Earn your money Dunn, and prove to critics that you can be a winner.
-
Surprise me Dunn and make contact off of a lefty. I'd rather see Lillibridge here I think.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:45 AM) Alcohol doesn't depress me, it just makes me in to an amazing dancer. My amazing dance skills landing me no action is what is depressing. lol. Or cause you probably call yourself Hot Fire to the ladies.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:43 AM) He looks dreadful, and is even being squeezed a bit. It's unfathomable that the Sox don't have a run yet. Buck should have never let Tillman start this inning. Got to make them pay while he's still in.
-
QUOTE (bobryansson @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:41 AM) Just turned on the game. I see Cy Young is pitching for the opposition... again. You have no idea how bad Tillman looks.

Alexei looks great at the plate. HIT A f***ING 2 RUN HOMER.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:39 AM) It really wasn't a spectacular play by the SS. The flip was nice, but definitely a play you get at least one out on.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:37 AM) It wasn't a great swing, but it's a hit 95% of the time. It was just unlucky that Andino made a great play on it. Jam shots and ground balls up the middle happen all the time. If that ball got through, I gaurentee people would say "There ya go Alex! Finally". But no, so instead it's extreme negativity. This board is seriously the biggest downer. Can't wait to get drunk tonight and not be depressed by this s***. It's more depressing here than it is watching this team play. Gordon Beckham had a flare single to right last night. It was more depressing seeing an awful swing by him result in a hit than if he took a great cut and lined out to left.

I don't really care how many games out we are. If this team continues to play bad, the season will be over by end of June. Not one of our high priced players has performed above expectations this year.
-
QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:30 AM) You're right dude. It was an awesome hack on 3-1...if only that sh1t grounder woulda had eyes. Great try Alex! I always reference Jerry Johnson from "Little Big League". When you have to start rooting for seeing-eye singles from a big name player, then it's time to realize how far they've fallen.

What more do Pierre and Rios have to do to get benched?
-
Can't believe we haven't scored a run with wind howling out against a pitcher with NOTHING on his pitches. Greg Walker, show some pride and quit.
-
QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 1, 2011 -> 01:24 AM) I still can't get more bothered by Rios than I am with Pierre. Screw that...at least with Pierre, you know he has 135 games left with the club. We're stuck with Rios and his albatross contract. Hey KW, just say no to players from Alabama!
-
How many more years do we have Rios under contract?
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:18 AM) Lol, routine bouncer? The SS made a diving play up the middle, flipped it to Roberts, who made a great turn. You just following this on Gameday or something!?! Dude, if it got through, it would have been a 20 hopper. It was a good play, but it pretty much was a weak grounder hit on a 3-1 meatball.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:18 AM) If Rios is injured, he should sit. If he's just this bad, he should sit. If Rios was on PEDS in Toronto, he should go back on them. If he wasn't, then he should start taking them. The ball used to jump off of his bat, and now he has absolutely no power.
-
QUOTE (zenryan @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:17 AM) f***ing bum I truly hate this team. I'd rather see Lillibridge play every game in CF than Rios and his pathetic approach/attitude. Even Hawk is bashing the team now.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:14 AM) REALLY could use 2010 Rios here..... Yep, that was post ASB 2010 for Rios. What a f***ing terrible player.
-
QUOTE (Real @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:10 AM) Starting to think this teams routine slow starts are due to league adjustments made over the offseason whereas our club doesn't do their due diligence with regards to adjusting to their opponents, which would be coaching/advanced scouting That would be known as The Greg Walker Effect
-
Strike 5 to Konerko there. Come on Dunn
-
This organization would never do a true rebuild though like what Cleveland and Tampa had to do. Too much money being a Chicago market team to suffer like those teams did.
-
Quentin has been a pop up machine it seems. He has 1 RBI in last 7 games.
-
I'm sick of these players that can't even hit the ball out of the park when they launch one. This is the freaking AL.
-
Another terrible at bat by Beckham. Orioles scouting report is definitely throw fastballs inside, as they know the Bust won't be able to get the barrel on it.
-
QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:48 AM) I've never said this about the Sox, as I've watched every game for as long as I can remember, all season no matter what. But....I'm almost ready for this to be broken up and imploded before we go any farther. This team has critical fundamental flaws that a 'win streak' isn't going to fix... Agree 100% with you. This team just goes out on the field trying to find new ways to lose it seems. I know I'm a critical bastard, but yesterday when I said how we suck in every aspect of the game, even the optimistic posters couldn't think of something we're good at. I just hope KW and Ozzie and Buddy Bell are shown the door, along with Walker.
