  1. I just noticed Lillibridge isn't in the lineup. Free Lilli!
  2. Morel making Viciedo look like Rickey Henderson. It's mind-boggling how bad Morel's been at the plate.
  3. My prediction is Morel doesn't make the road trip, as he'll be flying to Charlotte.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 3, 2011 -> 10:56 PM) Just finished the last episode of Friday Night Lights. Wow. Unreal I missed this series before. I've never seen a show make you care so much about almost all the characters, including supporting stars (ie: Billy Riggins)
  5. QUOTE (scenario @ May 3, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) Which.... makes absolutely no sense. Since any non-medical person who 'knew' this ahead of time was simply pulling a guess out of their ***... Which B&B do way too frequently IMO. They're great when discussing football/basketball... but seems to me like their sports IQ drops by 100 points when discussing baseball... so they resort to creating controversy to try and keep shows interesting. Boers said he was told that Thome's oblique injury was more serious than Sox were letting on. That very night, Thome took one swing and ended up missing a handful of games because his oblique injury was more severe than initially believed.
  6. Boers and Bernstein have great Sox sources. Heck, I feel like they knew Thome had a pulled oblique muscle a few years ago even before Herm did.
  7. It's weird, as lefties have a higher batting average against Sale but he's already given up 3 homers in nearly 8 innings against righties.
  8. They were talking about this the first week of the season. AJP coming back was a JR decision, IMO.
  9. Lot of good things in tonight's game. Let's hope for a good stretch coming up.
  10. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 3, 2011 -> 02:54 AM) Sale needs go to Charlotte to regroup. and take beckham along Beckham's looked much better last two games
  11. Santos is Marmol-esque right now
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 3, 2011 -> 03:42 AM) The Bulls really let this one get away when Thibbs put the bench mob out there to start the 4th. The team was already starting to lose some gas at the end of the third after they took a 6 point lead. You'd think Thibbs would have started out the 4th with the foot on the accelerator and played his starters. Taj was responsible for about a 6-8 point swing there in the 4th quarter.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 3, 2011 -> 03:48 AM) Just another White Sox prospect who was depended on to produce immediately and couldn't do it. His mechanics tonight were terrible. He was all over the place.
  14. QUOTE (cws0591 @ May 3, 2011 -> 02:45 AM) I agree with this, but then how is it Ozzie's fault? Stop with the predictable green light to guys with 2 outs
  15. Chris Sale really needs to get sent down.
  16. ptatc, I totally agree with you about changing things up. However, it seems far too often our hitters aren't protecting the runners on high fastballs that make it easy to throw out our runners. I'm a huge fan of hit and runs, and think we have a lot of guys who can excel at it.
  17. Sox are 12-26 stealing this season
  18. QUOTE (cws0591 @ May 3, 2011 -> 03:29 AM) how can it be a "Dumbass approach" if it is the right one? im just not following the logic. even the radio crew thought it was a good spot to run in(they mentioned it jsut before he was thrown out)... Ozzie has his flaws. Pick one and stop stretching for something stupid like this. How is complaining about our god awful success rate when stealing stretching for something?
  19. QUOTE (cws0591 @ May 3, 2011 -> 03:23 AM) your up by 4 runs and your offense isn't hitting. you tell me how it is stupid to try 2 advance a base runner any way possible? It's just symbolic of Ozzie's dumbass approach of always trying to have our guys steal with 2 outs in an inning.
  20. QUOTE (ptatc @ May 3, 2011 -> 02:16 AM) Yes, it's stupid because sitting back and waiting for the home run has been doing well for the offense lately. Or maybe it's the extremely high rate of hits our offense is producing. It's stupid cause they always get caught. Our success rate seems to be below 50% this season.
  21. Rios swinging the bat really well tonight. Just when you get excited, you get frustrated by another stupid caught stealing.
  22. Thibs got burned this quarter with a bad lineup on the court. Korver needs to be out there when we're struggling.
  23. Taj with just terrible minutes this quarter.
  24. Great play by Pierre last inning. Quentin is such a pop up machine right now. I hope our new hitting coach can work with him on hitting hanging breaking pitches. He's terrible at that.
