  1. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:08 AM) How many young players have we drafted and ruined because we can't develop talent through the minors. Wonder how Jordan Danks would've done in the Twins or BoSox organization, same goes for Beckham and Flowers Well, we didn't draft Flowers. However, our organization's absolute inability to develop offensive players is baffling. Funny that it's basically all a bunch of white boys that can't hit a fastball. Be nice to spend some more money on Latin American players.
  2. Crain's ready to give that run back. Need a DP by Lee or Vlad.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:04 AM) I'd just like to see him become decent trade bait again. No way that happens, as if he miraculously turns it around, we'd probably keep him. Flowers is the same way.
  4. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 03:00 AM) I can't wait to see Jordan and his 40% strikeout rate in the Bigs. He'll never make it to the majors.
  5. There we go!! Screw Rios, we have our CF.
  6. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:58 AM) Are you kidding me? This is one of the most frustrating Sox games I've seen in the last few years.
  7. Haha, you have to be kidding me. We need to sacrifice something.
  8. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:56 AM) Poor Danks, another game where we can't give him any run supp..... Oh, nevermind. Perhaps he just chokes in close games. He's just not a 15 million dollar a year pitcher to me.
  9. Our defense has cost us 4 runs tonight, yet the box score won't show it.
  10. Our starting pitching has been quite disappointing so far this year. It's bad when you look forward to seeing Humber pitch. Yankees...what do you want for Danks?
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:53 AM) give bucky credit for turning him loose. He's a great manager
  12. Danks ERA climbs to like 15 from the 6th inning on.
  13. Wow, Buck is a hell of a manager. Good job AJP! BTW, Javy Danks again with a 6 inning disaster.
  14. Hey, at least AJP has power.
  15. Justin Upton hit an insane home run off of Zambrano.
  16. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:47 AM) Sure but he results are about the same Compared to what we've seen, at least there's some signs of life tonight.
  17. Great defensive play by Danks! Keep Reynolds in the park here.
  18. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:45 AM) It is no different than any other game. Way better contact being made tonight.
  19. Goodness, just one of those games.
  20. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:41 AM) I know it was a bad decision on his part but at least he's one Sox batter who's looking to be aggressive up there. Oh yeah, at least he looks dangerous. Just too bad he gave himself no chance to be productive by swinging at that.
  21. Alexei showing no patience with RISP, and swings at a pitch head level. If Arrieta throws a low inside fastball, this game will be 6-3.
  22. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:36 AM) He injured it last year. What did they do over the offseason with it? It's been going on 5 years for him
  23. Baseball's a funny game. That swing was terrible, yet it falls. Better see a hit and run here.
  24. Goodness, 4 straight rockets. Beckham will break that streak.
  25. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 02:34 AM) I agree. I think Rios gets out of this. His bat speed is there. The thing that scares me is, mentally, can he handle this funk or will he shut down and have another horrific season like he did 2 years ago. It will be interesting if they shut him down for a while due to the toe injury. It might be something where he decides to rest it now instead of play the entire year with it.
