QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 02:40 AM) I can't believe it's just a couple weeks from the offseason again. It's going to be a difficult offseason. We don't have a lot of money to play with, yet the Twins and Tigers do. Also, some big decisions on some of our favorite Sox players including Konerko, AJP, and one of our starting pitchers. Knowing the way things have gone, we'll lose Konerko, bring back Garcia and AJP, and replace Konerko with a washed-up member of the 2001 AL All-star team. Hopefully the best news of the offseason is Hahn takes over as GM and Ozzie leaves. This organization needs a fresh start, and Cooper/Walker can go with Ozzie. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 02:40 AM) Can we all agree the White Sox aren't built to beat teams in their own division? Sox need to work on that for the future. The Sox aren't built to win in the American League! It was obvious before the season, and it's even more obvious now. If you want to work on that for the future, then you should hope your boy Ozzie goes and manages the Marlins. -

QUOTE (Real @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 02:39 AM) Paging Don Cooper you smug arrogant piece of s***, your pitching staff forgot how to throw a baseball LOL Haha, I love it. He really is a POS when in the media. Hopefully Pena is not brought back next season, as he's awful! I wonder if Chris Wrongey is still telling Sox fans that our pitching is better than the Twins? -
The Twins hitting gets stronger during the 2nd half, instead of fading like the White Sox. Same goes true with their pitching. Maybe it's cause Gardenhire doesn't push his starting pitchers too much during June/July, as he seems more likely to go to the bullpen early instead of racking up the pitch counts for his starters. He's done a masterful job with the Twins starting pitching this season. Meanwhile, the Sox starting pitching has underachieved towards the end of the season, which happens far too often.

Well, looks like Juan is ready for season to end. Average is falling down quickly. Disappointing start and end to his season, he needs to be more consistent next season for this team to have a prayer in the AL Central. After reading about how much money Tigers have to spend this offseason, they have potential to have a scary good roster. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 02:20 AM) This is not a flame but a question. Are Juan Pierre and Omar a good enough 1-2 punch for a playoff team? In other words can a team make the playoffs with those 2 guys in a major league lineup? They are good, but are they good enough?? Nope...it's the American League, you can't just play for one run, and having Vizquel batting after Pierre is basically admitting that's your philosophy. Hopefully Beckham can rebound and bat 2nd next year. -

Hawk overreacting to a Kotsay fly out that was 50-60 feet from going out. Good thing I missed his venting session on Joe West. -

QUOTE (hometeamfan @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 01:56 AM) You are not a TRUE Sox fan if you can boo a pitcher that's pitched so well for us. Undeserved. Just like some calling to trade Danks/Gavin. Where have you been? Certainly not watching gutty performances with little support or defense. Do those guys complain? They know this is a TEAM SPORT...some days you pick up the team...some days they pick up you. Glad we have Edwin!! Crowd is booing the overall performance of this team, not just Jackson. As for Jackson, it's hard to really gauge what we have with him. He's faced a lot of weak hitting teams, and it's important his next start is a quality one. -

Crowd booing....13 hits allowed by Jackson. Once again, he hasn't been the same since we abused his arm two weeks ago. -

Hawk saying that Jackson is tipping his pitches instead of admitting Jackson is hanging his slider. -

Rios has just been a bad all around player since the ASB. No reason for Jackson to still be in this game. -

What a shock, Jackson's not the same since his 130 pitch outing. Ozzie's handling of the starters has been hideous over the last month, so it's no shock they've hit the wall. -

Wow Michigan, you couldn't have played worse in the 2nd half. -

Michigan playing terribly on offense during the 2nd half. I hate when college teams try field goals from outside of 30 yards even when they know their kicker sucks. -

For second day in a row, instant replay missed a blatant fumble into the end zone. ND WR let go of the ball a good yard behind crossing the goal line. -
QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 07:46 PM) ?? not saying Westbrook is better, but Westbrook sure knows how to make things happen with his athleticism, haven't seen the same from DRose in the Worlds Westbrook is the most athletic guard on the planet right now.

I've watched a lot of the FIBA games, and C. Billups has annoyed the heck out of me. Such a gun. Durant's been amazing, and nice to see Mr. Khloe Kardashian-Odom playing well.

For the 2nd time in 3 years, KW traded for a starting offensive player that struggled so badly, they couldn't even start for us down the stretch (Swisher/Teahen) -

Ha, Kotsay in RF. Someone needs to tell Ozzie that Quentin is better against RHP. -

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 04:52 PM) So just as one would expect, Kansas scores 14 points against GA Tech in the 1st quarter this week! Don't you just love the consistency of 18-22 yr olds? lol GT's defense sucks...me, greg, SS2k, and jphat would be a better linebacking group. -
