  1. Putz is warming up....where the hell is Thornton to face Dunn?
  2. Wow, PULL HIM! Not even close, and you could see it happening last inning against Willie.
  3. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 10:33 PM) So glad we f***ed up another prospect. This kid hit everywhere he went. Comes to our f***ups and get f***ed up. Enough with this, its only mental bulls***, If the current group cant work with the kids then find someone that they can bring in to consult. Completely agree...he sucks, and what's very discouraging is that the few times he does put good swings on the ball, he has no power at all. If we could do it all over again, I'd take Smoak over him I truly believe.
  4. Wow Gordon...terrible. I hate his current stance with his arms so far away from him.
  5. I'll never understand why Alexei fakes the bunt so often? On the 2-0 pitch, he should be swinging out of his ass.
  6. Gonna be Peavy, but I would have Thornton ready to face Dunn.
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) Give Jake the ninth? I think you go with Thornton...helps stop the run game if Morgan/Guzman reach. 4th time against the lineup, maybe Nats have an idea of his pitch sequence?
  8. Way to throw a strike there! I'd go with Thornton in the 9th, especially with Peavy having to bat this inning.
  9. Need to back door Harris here...just like he's back doored so many.
  10. Nice defense so far this inning. Don't let Willie hurt us...I don't want to dislike him!
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) Yup. D1, maybe Floyd, probably Peavy, maybe Buehrle, maybe Thornton/Putz Completely agree
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 11:19 PM) Can Batista head fake like that while in the stretch? I would assume it would be a balk, but what do I know. Me too, sure looked like his entire body shifted.
  13. Nice hit by CQ there...too bad Kotsay couldn't get to 3rd. Can AJP go 4-4?
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) I think we'd have 4-5 all stars in the NL. pitchers, you mean?
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 11:15 PM) Facing the NL after a 2 month losing skid? I'm trying not to jinx it...but I think Gavin Floyd would be an all-star in the NL.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) Has there ever been a bigger sight for sore eyes more than seeing the opposition send Kyle Farnsworth to the mound in a crucial situation the past 7 or 8 years? Owning a bar or pharmaceuticals and seeing Farnsworth come over?
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) Because you touch yourself at night. My wife is 33 weeks pregnant....no way I'm touching her! These days I sit back, relax, and enjoy life by watching Gordon Beckham 2009 highlights while Air Supply "All Out of Love" plays in the background.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) And the #8 offense in the NL that year (out of 16 teams). And Mike Mordecai, he of the amazing at bat against Kyle Fansworth in Game 6.
  19. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) This is anecdotal, but it seems like he has these blips where his velocity spikes and then it goes back to mediocrity. Any reason why this seems to happen (if it does.) Fluid?
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 11:09 PM) I don't think all that much of our hitting coach. But this abortion of an offense is on Ozzie and Kenny. Kenny placated someone's silly notion to recreate the 2003 NL Marlins offense. The only difference is instead of Miguel Cabrera we have Kotsay. This was built to fail. They also had D. Lee, a roided IRod, Encarnacion, Conine, and a few others.
