Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
I think we know what we have to do: trade Noah and get Prince Fielder in a sign-and-trade.

Alexei's going to have to shorten his swing against Weaver. Good pitches to hit in both of his ABs.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:43 AM) Yes, I sure have, and yes, you can stand and walk. It's twisting that makes it hurt. You have no idea whether he "threw out" his elbow or not. Let me ask you this: if you were watching the Red Sox and Yankees play, and you saw Beckett throw a pitch and walk off with the same reaction, wouldn't your first thought be "hello Tommy John"

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:39 AM) We have no idea that there was actually a pop. Maybe fathom is an expert lip reader, but I'll wait until the post game to find out for sure. Jake didn't grab for his elbow. He slightly contorted his body after the pitch. I'm 100 percent sure he told Ozzie/Hermie "it popped", which is why they just turned around and walked into the dugout right away.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:41 AM) No offense Fathom or BearSox, but neither of you have a f***ing clue what it is right now. None of us do. Have you ever pulled your oblique in that area? It's impossible to even stand up straight, it's that painful.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
No thanks on Lee, we'd still have holes in our offense and then no prayer of extending Lee. I think Hudson can be a decent #5 starter.
-
7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
If he pulled his oblique though, he would have likely been leaning towards the side while walking to the dugout.
-
7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Looking at one more replay, there's a SLIGHT chance he pulled an oblique. At this point, that would be best case scenario.

Haha, something so funny seeing Lillibridge underhand a throw to first.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
If it's a surgery type injury, it sucks on how much it will impact the Sox next year as well.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:32 AM) Ramon Castro is a better option at this point. No, i cannot beleive i just said that with authority. Absolutely, especially with a righty that dominates lefties. Castro should have either started yesterday or today.

Why can't Andruw get suspended for performance enhancers? Don't we have someone on here that can frame him?

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:31 AM) What the hell are you swinging at AJ? AJP is terrible now, but he looks like Babe Ruth compared to the guy behind him.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:28 AM) Lets hope Peavy can have surgery during the all star break and be back for the second half of the season. Jeez, who's your doctor?

So Hawk goes to the locker room to check on Darin Erstad, but doesn't go to the locker room to check Jake Peavy?

QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:26 AM) well if they wanted to, they could push Peavy's next start out till the 19th thanks to the all star game. July 19th of 2011? You're nuts if you think he'll be pitching anytime soon.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
I wonder if we have insurance on Peavy's contract, as he'll be out all of next year if he needs TJS.

Viciedo is playing far too deep.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:18 AM) After seeing Zumaya blow his out, hopefully isn't that bad. I pray I'm wrong, but Peavy's injury there is about the most obvious elbow injury you'll see. It sucks, he was really crisp tonight.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:17 AM) Looked more like his side. It looked like Ozzie asked him if he's ok, and Peavy said it popped. It's tough to tell based on the replay. If it's his side though, he had no difficulty walking.

He said he heard a pop! Oh boy, see you in 2012 Jake...lots of positive vibes just went out the window.
