Fields pulled from Charlotte's game
QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ May 1, 2008 -> 01:28 AM) It is silly to replace a guy who can't hit major league pitching very well with a guy who showed he can? Yes, cause where would he play? Of course, if KW made the brilliant move of trading Crede when his stock is sky high, then I would be thrilled!

2008 Chicago Cubs Catch-All Thread
Ugh, horrible performance by Suppan so far. His 86 mph fastball and hanging slider is getting crushed all over the field.
-
Nick Masset to start on Wed at Twins??
Masset wasn't bad...but he wasn't good. However, when your pitching gives up 4 runs, you should still be able to win.

Fields pulled from Charlotte's game
He was pulled for precautionary measures after a hard slide.

Fields pulled from Charlotte's game
QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 1, 2008 -> 12:28 AM) With the Ramirez situation, you have to think there is a good chance he will be with the club in Toronto. He could be a huge asset to the team. Where did you see he was pulled?

Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
Ready to puke, check out Jim Thome's stats from the 7th inning on this season.... 3 for 23, 2b, rbi, 5 BB, and 11 K

And that's a White Sox loser
The perfect player for our bench was released by the Mariners today.... Greg Norton!

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 11:19 PM) Can Micah Owings play 2nd base? That was amazing.

And that's a White Sox loser
When you have Toby Hall coming up next, and one of the best throwing outfields in the history of the game....don't bunt to give up the first out to get the runner into 2nd base. You're still going to need two more hits in all likelihood, considering how weak Toby is.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
Today might be the defining game of the Greg Walker era. The Twins put Delmon Young 20 feet off of the LF line, as they knew the Sox would try and pull everything. That's like when Purdue didn't even have someone guard Chester Frazier on the perimeter.

Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
This team just isn't very good. The OC experience has been a massive bust so far, Thome has been worthless after the 6th inning, and Dye know looks like he's never seen a pitch before in his life. With the Tigers having Granderson back, and the Indians getting strong performances from Cliff Lee, I don't see anyway this team can stay on top of the AL Central.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
Swing the freaking bat! The next 30 hours or so before the next game should be fun. I think everyone on the 25 man roster will be traded or benched on this board.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
Another showcase of how awful our bench is. Please send down Ramirez and acquire a decent lefty bench guy.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) is konerko healthy enough to PH for juan? I'd rather have AJ bat first, and then let PK bat if someone gets on.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:30 PM) This started with the As series. We had a period of good hitting, batting hitting day. Then we had were the starter would shut us down and we would beat up on the mop up guy to make it respectable. Now its just a complete mess where we cant hit at all. After 2 1/2 years of offensive struggles, maybe it's not just Greg Walker? Maybe we just have poor offensive talent.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) How bad can this get by our offense We face 4 tough righties in Toronto, and thanks to our brilliant decision to only have 3 lefties on the whole roster, it's going to be a low scoring weekend likely.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:27 PM) wow, the last three weeks have been unreal from an offensive standpoint Let's face it, we padded our record on facing a team that was in one of the worst slumps I've ever seen and didn't have their heart and soul.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
Shocking...Thome should just stop playing after the 6th inning of games.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:20 PM) Maybe Ozzie has Punto's stats mixed up with Morneaus. Because he has our staff attack them like they are each other. Best post of the game!

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) wait, PK didn't start? Why didn't he PH for Hall? Either he faces a tiring Blackburn or forces Gardenheir to go to the BP Ozzie refuses to ever bring the back-up catcher in the game.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 08:17 PM) It wasn't down the middle. It was ball four, high and in his eyes. No clue how he hit it like he did. But why even throw him a fastball in that at bat?

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (Bhay99 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 08:15 PM) nice 3-2 fastball right down the middle boone Why we continue to challenge Morneau, I'll never know.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) He has very good outside range into the outfield, he's got good balance on tough throws, he's OK with normal ball handling, he can turn a double play well. His arm is a bit weak, and his range horizontally is less than stellar. He handles short-hit balls well though. I thought he's been terrible on the slow hit ball. Not only does his weak arm make the plays more difficult, but he's had a few plays where he double pumped or flat out missed the ball.

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) Oh now come on. He's not as good as Juan, but he's above average. Absolutely not. He must have naked pictures of official scorers, as he could easily have 5 or 6 errors this season. He's has some costly misplays as well. Name me one thing he does on D that's above average?

Masset (0-0) vs. Blackburn (1-1)- 12:10 CDT, CSN
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 08:04 PM) He's hitting .217 as our #2 hitter and he must be leading the team with runners left on. And played HORRIBLE defense.
