Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
There is no veteran leadership on this club, in terms of the offensive side. PK and Dye seem content with their contracts and 2005 WS ring. Quentin and Anderson seem like the only ones out there trying to generate something. The sooner OC and Crede realize they're in contract years, they'll be much better.

2008 Chicago Cubs Catch-All Thread
Cardinals are keeping the Cubs in this game by not cashing in with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs. So far, it's happened all 3 innings.

Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
Jermaine Dye with 3 of his worst games ever in a Sox uniform.

Fantastic job by Buehrle.

So, if we lose 2 to 0.....can we bench Ozzie tomorrow?

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:06 AM) Fields needs to be on our team for situations like that. And also that our 3rd baseman is hitting near .250 with 5 errors.

Seriously, just let Ozuna bat for Thome against lefty relievers.

Quality AB by Thome...at least this means he doesn't get to bat in the 9th. 3 for 24 now in the 7th inning on.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 3, 2008 -> 02:03 AM) didn't he just go yard other day? It was against Trachsel...does that even count?

Ugh, OC was watching that out of the box. Good game for him at least.

Another awful game for Swisher....please move him down in the lineup.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:58 AM) Just a little premature for me to completely hate this team, though. I agree...I find it disturbing that there's already reports that the players are hanging their heads.

Looks like Thome is going to face a lefty this inning....fun!

Hell, Carlos Zambrano would be our best lefty hitter.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:56 AM) At least somebody's in mid-season form. It just baffles me they continue to have 3 lefties on this entire roster. There's no excuse for Uribe to be batting in the 7th inning in that situation.

KENNY WILLIAMS....GET A LEFTY HITTER FOR THE BENCH!

PK's hurt more than the Sox have let on. I do find it ironic he's made his injury public right after he becomes a 10 and 5.

We suck...f*** this roster.

Accardo throwing some great pitches to hit.

Good eye...exhibit 10 here of why we need a lefty on the bench.

No one else I'd rather have up than Anderson.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:46 AM) cubs are in for a long series...michael worst is the long reliever today? wheres lieber haha lou must be going nuts Quick scouting note on Wuertz....if he gets to a full count, he will throw a slider every single time.

QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:44 AM) I can't for the life of me understand why you keep saying this. This team should be performing much better than it is. It's the 2nd best lineup in the division and they have better pitching than the team with the best lineup. I'd like to see a shakeup (Walker firing) but I think they will hit regardless. This is pathetic, though. Yes, but the difference between the Tigers lineup and Sox lineup is HUGE. I don't think the Sox lineup is better than the Indians lineup though.
