QUOTE (frankie5angels @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:40 AM) I cannot wait until we start trading some of these guys the f*** out of here. I am sick of watching the same s*** every f***ing game. This is the same s*** as last year. Enjoy today...very possibly the last day they're in first place all season.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:36 AM) Terrible, terrible move by Lou. I made this remark earlier in the season, but Lou is managing with a severe case of urgency. He's going to burn out their bullpen.

That was a terrific double play. Buehrle's pitching very well.

I wonder if Cubs will try and trade Hill and prospects for Roberts now. Lou seems like he hates Hill.

QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:33 AM) JT is killing us. Actually he has never done anything for us. Look he had a great career. But this is just hard to watch. What is he going to do? Break Dan Pasqua's strikeout record in Toronto? Man i dread seeing him come up. He just doesnt handle the pressure well. If the score is 100-5 then he mashes the ball....great. He's been extremely overrated in his time with the Sox. He's put up great numbers, and there's no one else I'd rather have up in the first inning. But he's just a terrible late game performer.

Lou Piniella just pulled Rich Hill in the first inning after only allowing one run. He walked 4 of 6 batters.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:31 AM) ryan braun is heating up...boy what happened to roy oswalt this year...i know hes tallied alot of innings, but at some point you gotta suspect steroids, dont you? swing the f***ing bat Oswalt will be fine, his velocity is back up to 93 mph. It was 90 mph earlier in the year. The Braun homer was just a filthy piece of hitting. And holy cow, Lou with the quick hook on Hill.

Swing the freaking bat Thome! Anytime he wants to show some veteran leadership, that would be just great.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:27 AM) to credit marcum...he hasnt thrown a ball above mid thigh all game.. Thome, Dye, and Uribe have had great pitches to hit, but have fouled them off or popped them up.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:24 AM) Fathom, if I didn't like you, I'd question your manhood right now. But, I'll add that Cloverfield was probably a movie you'd have to see at a theater to fully enjoy it. The funny thing is I have heard nothing but good things about Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Nice line drive swing by Uribe....not!

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:15 AM) buehrle looks pretty good out there... Yep....good thing we challenged Stewart in the 1st.

I really hope the Sox don't lose 2-0. If they lose, that's ok. But let Toronto score a legit run, at least.

At least when they sucked last year, it was exciting to watch Fields bat. Now, Quentin's the other real intriguing player to watch, along with the occasional BA.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:09 AM) Fields I suppose. We have a 3rd Baseman waiting who has proven himself. That's not the case for a leadoff spot. Besides, I doubt Roberts costs nearly that much. I could be wrong, though. Ha, Roberts would cost you Fields and Poreda, if not more.

Crede couldn't have pulled off those pitches more if he tried to.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:04 AM) LOL, not worth it? With Roberts, we would have: 1. An actually good leadoff hitter/base stealer. 2. A way to put Swisher in a place in the lineup where he actually belongs and can be effective. 3. A Way to get Uribe OUT. You can't tell me that's "not worth it with this team." "This team" is plenty capable of being dominant. Approaching it with the logic of not "wasting" anything for another player is really just bad, IMO. What happens if the offense gets hot, or just some of it? That's the problem around here and with fans in general. If someone is hitting, they are awesome. If not, they're terrible, and if an entire offense is struggling even though they are capable of very much, a new acquisition "isn't worth it." And when Crede wants 13 mil a season for 4 years after 2008 is over, what are the Sox going to do about 3rd base?

That was a good pitch to Zaun...too bad he didn't try that on the 3-2 pitch to Stewart in the first. Great job of pitching by Buehrle that inning.

Let's keep pitching to righty hitters with a base open and a lefty on deck.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:01 AM) even though he was safe...what a throw...i thought he had no chance Yet Hawk makes it sound like it was a horrible play due to overthrowing the cut-off man.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) I really wish we had Brain Roberts right now. I'm happy we don't....considering the price he'd cost, it's not worth it with this team. We had our chance to get some talented prospects to use in a trade when we unloaded Garland, but we got the one year rental instead. I'd rather keep Fields then trade him for Roberts.

BTW, what's the deal with OC always trying to steal with 2 strikes and 2 outs? Seems like a good way to distract the hitter.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:57 PM) Marcum = Maddux according to Hawk. 7ks through 4, 7 out of 12 outs were not put in play. This is the worst performance through 4 innings by Sox hitters I've witnessed in my 28 years of living.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:56 PM) when the cusb put up that 6 spot on suppan the other day...i was thinkin...when was the last time we strung even 3 hits in a row together? let alone like 2 doubles a single and a HR The worst thing is some people actually think we have a better offense than the Cubs.
