White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:36 PM) Shades of Pods in the 2005 WS Good call! I was watching the game the other day. Always fun to watch the greatest closer in World Series history.

Owens seems to have the fundamentals down that our minor leaguers are known for showing when they get promoted to the majors.

Haha, what a f***ing joke. This team is a debacle.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:33 PM) It's insane that our bullpen is performing like this at the exact time we are performing against other teams' bullpens. 0-56, 5 walks Yep, it really is. It's the Battle of the Bullpens, and we're getting humiliated. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:34 PM) Oh come on. That's a little extreme. Cooper had tired starters and Raines left on his own terms. He wasn't fired. Raines was fired....Ozzie admitted it a few days ago in the Trib. He said he wasn't getting the job done.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:30 PM) If its Walker's fault the offense sucks, why wouldn't it be Cooper's fault the bullpen sucks? 2 baseball geniuses, 2 guys who know more about winning and good players than anyone else in the universe, KW and Ozzie, said the bullpen was one of the best in the game coming into this season. They have to be either at the bottom or right next to it now. Coop can't fix 'em. Cooper should have been fired after last year....but it sounds like Tim Raines was the scapegoat for our disasterous 2nd half last season.

QUOTE(GOD @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:27 PM) this isn't Ozzie's fault anymore. It doesn;t matter who we put in their gonna blow it. Oh and scoring 3 runs a game isn't gonna get the job done either. We don't seem to have problems hitting in the first three innings. No offense, but that's a lame excuse. He had a chance to put our toughest pitcher against lefties into the game to face someone who can't hit lefty pitching. He, or Cooper, didn't do it, and we probably just lost the game because of it.

QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:25 PM) Our manager was ejected...he is probably drunk as a skunk in the clubhouse right now Wow, I totally forgot that.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:25 PM) Who pitches the 7th and 8th though? This bullpen is a moot point. Doesn't matter....if they get the tying run to 2nd base, you have to play the match-up there. I can't wait for the Ozzie apologists to defend that move.

Lind's OPS against LHP is below .400.

White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Unreal.....how does our manager still have a job? Seriously, put Logan into the f***ing game to face the lefty there.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
And now Logan is warming up? That 2-1 pitch was a meatball.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
This is unreal....why can't we get the 3rd out in an inning? I'm not sure why we have Logan on the roster if we're not going to utilize him against lefties in big spots. Check out Lind's splits....he sucks vs LHP.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Logan should be getting up to face Lind this inning.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Can we have a reliever get a big 3rd out?

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:17 PM) Correct me if I am wrong, we can not demote McDougal. Would he not have to clear wavers to go down AND accept his assignment. Not that I imagine teams are lining up for a guy with a 7+ ERA that can't throw strikes. Cliff Politte treatment it is. There's probably 20 teams in baseball that would claim MacDougal in a heartbeat.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Aardsma and Day down, MacDougal to DL, Fields/Prinz/Buckvich called up.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Come on, no walks to Thomas. Make him hit his way on.

White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
That at-bat for Glaus was the type of stuff I expected Masset to have. 94-96 mph fastball with a good slider.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 07:12 PM) 9.06 Bullpen ERA the last 21 games, outstanding. Even for him this is a no brainer. 100 pitches through 5, Danks is in line to get the win but didn't have his great stuff today, Masset is a long reliever, lots of righties in there for Danks including 3 to start this inning....perfect spot to do this. And that's with Jenks not allowing a run.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
I like the move by Ozzie!!
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Might as well let Masset start the inning.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
0 for 55. I didn't like the first time this game was played, which was on June 2nd.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Crede flirting with another pop up to the right side.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Is that 0-54? That means it's two full games. That's so pathetic.
-
White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)
Are we sure that the run counts?
