  1. Whew! Great pitching tonight. Our hitting and managing needs to pick up now though.
  2. QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 12, 2007 -> 02:26 AM) OK Bobby.. Time to man up here. DON'T be predictable with the sequence, AJ.... Better hope he doesn't groove a first pitch, 93 mph fastball.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 12, 2007 -> 02:25 AM) Dye could not be screwing over this team any more than he currently has. And in about every conceivable way. His outfield speed is embarrassing, and his lack of offense is costing everyone from the team down to the money he'll receive next season. Hell, add in the fact if he doesn't rebound respectably (>.250avg, 70+rbis, 20+HRs) he'll cost the White Sox type A compensation. He may hurt his value midseason if the Sox are out of contention, as well. Talk about a worst case scenario with a player. This is it. He'll end up putting up some decent power numbers, but it would do us no good if it's late in the season and we're out of contention.
  4. Best fastballs of the year by Thornton.
  5. Nice urgency here in the 9th. Good thing that ball stayed in the park....didn't like the inside pitch selection to Grudz on a pitch he can turn on. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 12, 2007 -> 02:22 AM) Thornton against Teahen....then Jenks versus Sweeney, HOPEFULLY. Teahen has had some good ABs vs Thornton in the past. Why not just bring in Jenks? Ozzie always tries to get cute vs the Royals, and they always hurt us cause of it.
  6. Terrero looks like he has a piano on his back out there.
  7. Our coaches are so f***ing dumb. You have got to be playing no doubles in that situation. FIRE OZZIE!
  8. Jeez Ozzie, put Mackowiak in for defensive reasons in RF. Not a good turn of events there.
  9. I just saw the worst slide of my life. All he had to do is a simple hook slide, and he's safe.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 12, 2007 -> 01:41 AM) What a f***ing pathetic performance from the offense. They simply can't get hits against LHP. Our average hit total against lefty starters must be around 4.
  11. Nice time for good defensive positioning. No matter how tough of an out Grudz is, you couldn't let Teahen get up as the go-ahead run.
  12. It's around this time in the game in recent year where the Royals seem like the '27 Yankees.
  13. Right now, Dye's either hitting grounders to the left side or fly balls to the right side. We need him to get that reversed. It's too bad we couldn't get Terrero in with our best contact guy up against LHP.
  14. What a dumbass idea by Ozuna. In that situation, you have to swing the freaking bat, especially if you have good speed.
  15. Is that Angel Berroa out there? Get Terrero home.
  16. Holy cow, I didn't know walk was in Terrero's vocabulary. Might we see a squeeze here?
  17. If a company started to sponsor every Crede pop up like some companies sponsor caught stealings, then that company would be getting a huge return on their investment this year.
  18. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 12, 2007 -> 01:01 AM) At the plate, Dye's body and head are flying in so many different directions, it looks like he is spontaneously combusting. An actual hitting might be helpful. Or maybe Dye should have got off his lazy ass and took some extra bp before the game like Konerko. Konerko's looked pretty s***ty all year against that soft tossing crap.
  19. Unbelievable example of everything that's wrong with our hitters vs LHP on that swing by Dye. He popped up a pitch a few inches away from the dirt.
  20. Ozuna's bat speed looks slow tonight. I wonder if he's tired, as he's probably never played this many games in a row in the majors.
  21. Erstad is now 3-26 on the year against LHP. This team needs so much help against LHP.
  22. Why can't we ever get hits against LHP? Lots of uppercut swings so far tonight.
  23. QUOTE(Brian @ May 11, 2007 -> 11:17 PM) Sweeney sits against a lefty, not shocked. I think it's the right move
