5/20 Games
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 23, 2007 -> 03:26 AM) Has he met him while Dukes has been in the majors though? I havent heard anything about him being a cancer in the devilrays clubhouse. Nothing to do with him this year....I do know that Tampa called up Upton last year simply to get him away from Dukes.

Wonder if KW will make a pitch for Percival...
If he has anything, then I'm sure the Angels will sign him.

QUOTE(BearSox @ May 23, 2007 -> 02:05 AM) Just go through the lists of news concerning bad activities for each player. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...MLB&id=1251 http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...MLB&id=4123 Besides for this incident with Young, which doesn't seem to be serious at all, and the one last year, he has been pretty much clean. But Dukes has been involved with plenty of fights, and drug charges. So, did you ever meet Dukes, or did your firend just know him? My friend was around him for every Durham home game....he used to tell me horror stories about him prior to his troubles being reported in the media.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
The never ending inning....ends! Nice to see the offense come around.

Super....Jenks has to get up for the 2nd time in three games when we were up either 10-1 or 10-2.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
This better be his last game with the big league team. I hate watching him pitch so much. I do laugh at people who think he could actually become a starter....he'd reach his pitch count by the 3rd inning.

Seems like the A's have 10 liners at the infielders today.

Josh Fields with a nice 3-5 night with a double, while Sweeney went 0-5 with 3 strikeouts.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 23, 2007 -> 01:50 AM) Again you have read prob 2-3 articles about him and have no idea what kind of person he really is if you get to know him. He might be a scumbag, and if i was able to pick any one person in the MLB it wouldnt be him. But you make a lot of comments about someone that you have no clue about. Its different from Bonds because Bonds is in the media spotlight everyday giving you a little bit more idea to see the kind of person he is. Still someone who judges Bonds just solely what they see on TV is an equally ignorant person. As friends with someone that was around Dukes for 2 years, he's got a worse attitude than people give him credit for.

That should be it for Danks. He battled tonight without his good stuff, and he got some timely double plays.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
What happened on the Erstad play?
-
White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Ugh....Danks needs to pitch over that error and keep us with a big lead. Even on routine pop ups tonight, the ball is really jumping.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:52 AM) Bulls pick 9th ?????? Diehard Celtics fan who has been gushing about Oden and Durant for two decades now it seems. QUOTE(TheOcho @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:53 AM) Hello beautiful... Overrated Good grief Danks....keep the ball down and throw more strikes.
-
White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Oh, how I hope Portland gets Durant or Oden to go with my favorite backcourt in history.

Bill Simmons might have just killed himself.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:48 AM) Ya, we missed him. He sees more pitches in most at-bats than our 3-4-5 did during an entire inning when he was gone.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Oh Mr. Thome....that was beautiful!
-
White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
At least Iguchi gave Thome a chance to do some damage.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Holy cow, who are these guys? Not so sure Mackowiak should have been sent, but it worked out.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Hawk's already talked of Dwight Evans and Ted Williams tonight. Can Catfish and Al Kaline be far behind? That definitely looked like strike 3. This umpire has a very tiny zone, which will really help the patient A's. Ugh....Danks doesn't have good offspeed stuff so far tonight. Needs to throw more curves and less change-ups.

QUOTE(Brian @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:28 AM) Really? I though it was gonna be farther than it was. Sarcasm.....thought it would go farther also.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
I couldn't tell if Dye hit that hard enough to get out. I love having Thome back!

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Pretty poor attempt by AJ there. Very nice! Hopefully the offense shows some patience against Lewis.

Same lineup as last night for the Sox.

Jenks Velocity (Redux)
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) I'm pretty sure that's wrong. I remember when he hit 102, and DJ and Hawk said something like "102?!" as the pitch was caught by the catcher. The pitch that was hit for a double to RF was the next pitch, or a few pitches later. Richie Sexson was at the plate, and we threw out Ichiro at home to preserve the lead and won that game. It might be the last time we threw someone out at home off of a relay.
