  1. Sanders is just getting a day off. He's been swinging the bat well this year.
  2. QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 02:46 AM) i see everyones hating on ozzie but what exactly would you have done differently? i know sisco sucks but they are trying to build this kids confidence and see what he can do late in ballgames. maybe they found their answer tonight You don't build it the day after you blew a 2 run lead with 2 outs in the 9th inning basically due to the overuse of your bullpen. If Thornton was available tonight, as he showed he was, he needs to start that inning.
  3. I wonder if Ozzie looked at roster and thought: MacDougal against a hitter that was never good enough to start vs Sox or Thornton vs one of the best fastball hitters in baseball?
  4. At least we have a lead after one of the worst managed innings in history.
  5. Ozzie just got severly outmanaged. What a piece of s***.
  6. Did we just play into the Royals hands by putting Sanders to the plate against a fastball pitcher? Ouch....not good.
  7. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 02:41 AM) It's so weird seeing Gload in a KC uniform, no? Not really, I wasn't used to seeing him in a Sox uniform the last two years.
  8. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 02:40 AM) Has there ever been a Yankee game on ESPN that didn't last at least 3:30? Yep, gotta hate a patient offense.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 02:40 AM) My gameday must have f***ed up, it says Sweeney got out. I thought it was gone off the bat.
  10. Oh boy....Ozzie, wouldn't it have been easier to let Thornton start this inning.
  11. Whew, that ball looked like it had a chance off the bat.
  12. Hopefully we win this, but if we blow this, it would be a very demoralizing loss after yesterday's game. Nice urgency dickhead.
  13. How many times in last few years have the Royals rallied against us late? If we lose this, it falls directly on Ozzie Guillen. In no way did he put us in the best chance to succeed this inning.
  14. Well, the batter knows he's getting a fastball here.
  15. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 02:33 AM) WOW. A-Rod again What a cancer
  16. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 02:31 AM) Ozzie, has Thornton been watching TV before games with BA or something? I guarantee Ozzie is trying to get Sisco some confidence in a game against his former teammates. After seeing what happened this wknd about using too many relievers, it's really a pathetic managing decision. Go with your main 3 relievers, and try to get 6 outs.
  17. Way to stay with it Erstad.
  18. And Thornton is warming up. I hate you Ozzie Guillen.
  19. It's too bad we're playing the righty/lefty match-up instead of going for the win.
  20. Ugh....not a good situation for Sisco at all.
  21. Now I'm worried about Thornton's health. I hate Sisco in this situation where a walk puts the tying run to the plate.
  22. Any word on if Thornton is available?
  23. Just got back to see PK as my first batter. I see why he's playing today....and I also love seeing Riske in close games.
  24. This offense makes it seem so difficult to hit the ball hard consistently.
  25. I remember in years past how we used to score a ton of runs early in the game. It doesn't seem that way anymore.
