  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:57 PM) Haha. Jose looked good his last couple outings. Stuff was fine. Control was fine. How as his velocity at the end of ST?
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) WTF are we calling breaking pitches on the first pitch with a kid up there. Why is Ozzie loading the bases on the kid. This is dumb. Want to know something shocking....Ozzie isn't even the Sox executive I have a problem with right now.
  3. Yuck....first time seeing Masset, and I'm wondering how he made the team.
  4. What's ESPN clocking Masset at? His fastball looks slower than I expected (shocking in our organization, I know).
  5. You never, ever see PK miss those. I'm very, very concerned about our starting pitching this year.
  6. I thought both pitchers were throwing in the 91 mph range. All you have to do is judge the swing that the players are taking. This is horrific though....spring training has carried over.
  7. Get someone up in the pen. He has nothing. Very concerned about his velocity. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:43 PM) Yah. His control is all F'ed up. He's not dropping down on lefties. Trot was a great signee for the Indians.
  8. Jose seems to have no chance against lefties today due to his fastball tailing so much. If he starts it on the inside corner, it's going right down the plate. When he starts it over the plate, it's ending up a foot off the plate.
  9. I forgot how annoying Hawk is on long fly balls. That's 1 premature stretch on the season.
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) Seriously though, if Erstad wants to produce this season. I will be more than willing to embrace his pasty white albino self. Oh yeah....he's more much on my good list than Pods is.
  11. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:34 PM) That marks the official end of Brian Anderson, sadly. If Erstad plays well, then who cares?
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:34 PM) I will only post good thoughts in the game threads this season. I'm not going to try to analyze every single pitch thrown. It's funny how with the lower expectations I have for this year, the less important I think every play is.
  13. Wow!! Nice to see. C.C. isn't throwing much up to the plate either.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:26 PM) BA woulda had that ball in the gap. Don't abuse it....it's going to be fun to keep track of how many times someone states that. Good job Pablo!
  15. Ha, Cubs are down 2-0 after 2 batters. We should have traded Contreras for Dunn when I requested!
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:23 PM) this is painful, god damnit peralta was lucky....... How as he lucky?
  17. Like I said, fitting start to the season. That fastball is such meat, as it's tailing right over the plate.
  18. This Indians lineup is sensational. I have a feeling Perralta's going to have a big comeback year.
  19. QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:19 PM) im pretty sure the rules changed and you just resume teh game the next time Never heard of this rule. I thought it's still just a called game.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:16 PM) Not really, it was probably the right move, Jose is just s***ting the bed. I'm not going to blame Guillen for that. No blame towards Ozzie on this one. I'm more concerned that Jose is going to be throwing 91/92 mph this year. As we saw last year, he's a below average pitcher if he's throwing in that range compared to 94/95 mph.
  21. Man, that 91 mph fastball is tailing right over the heart of the plate.
  22. Can we take a mulligan? Contreras is leaving everything out over the plate.
  23. Yikes, the crowd is already out of the game. Contreras is throwing everything up at 92 mph. He's throwing everything at the same arm angle.
