  1. You'd think after the Twins 16 inning debacle that Ozzie would try to create offense in extra innings. Why not have Ozuna run for AJP before, and then put a hit-and-run on? Ozzie should see that everyone is swinging for the fences, and more often than not, that's a recipe for an extra innings loss.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:12 AM) I went 2 for 4 against Ron Mahay in college. But I guess that doesnt count. Why, you answered his question.
  3. It's Viz.....oh boy. Will someone call the FBI, and put out an APB for Neal Cotts?
  4. Who's pitching this inning? If it's Viz...I have a bad feeling.
  5. Here come the excuses by DJ about why we're not hitting Mateo.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:07 AM) With all of the meatballs that mateo has left over the plate tonight yet the long looping swings foul them back. Yeah, I'm thankful they've kept him in so long. He's a homer waiting to happen.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:05 AM) pinch run and steal Nope, that would require strategy.
  8. Let Ozuna run for AJP, and see if you can't have the runner score on a gapper.
  9. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:02 AM) Konerko's back is bothering him. He was wincing. Super
  10. How many hangers is Mateo going to get away with?
  11. I hope Iguchi was watching that swing by PK.
  12. QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:01 AM) Paulie is trying to hit a home run me thinks. We need a single. Agreed. Lets just hope he gets into one.
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 04:59 AM) Is Neal Cotts dead? Ozzie doesn't see him as a late inning reliever. It's become extremely obvious the last few weeks.
  14. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 04:58 AM) Iguchi strikes out at a much higher rate than Uribe, but I guess he doesn't look as bad doing it so he gets a pass. I suppose I was the only one who saw the Iguchi K coming. The real disturbing this is that Iguchi had great pitches to hit. It's not like Mateo aced him.
  15. That should be all for Politte. I have a feeling Nelson is coming in for Seattle. It's up to AJP to put a good swing on the ball.
  16. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 04:55 AM) I hate Carls swing... The only thing that his stupid 2 strike stance does is throw off his timing at the plate. He chases an insane amount of pitches not even close to the plate with 2 strikes.
  17. Can we please get this terrible player out!!!
  18. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 04:52 AM) pitiful try the squeeze next time When's the last time the Sox tried a squeeze play late in the game?
  19. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 04:51 AM) Everett is not a #3 hitter. Our offense is offensive. Besides Twins games, he's been really poor this year. He's more of a number 6 hitter than a number 3 hitter. It's too late to change that now.
  20. That's just absolutely pathetic. What a bunch of undisciplined swings.
  21. Iguchi and Everett both trying to hit a 2 run homer instead of getting the go-ahead run in.
  22. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 04:50 AM) gooch has lost it whatever "it" is, he's lost it Look at his head movement on his swing. He's really pulling off the ball.
  23. Good grief. How many good pitches can he not deliver on? He's gotten a free pass on here, but he's been brutal lately. Come on Carl!
  24. One great pitch to hit already. Iguchi just seems a little off right now.
