I feel I flip flop in my mind every other day about how well Semien fits on this roster with his likely contract. He is an awesome fit to bat 2nd and add power to the lineup, as he’s probably the most underrated player in baseball. I like his chances a lot more than Conforto of coming over and excelling. However, if adding him means no other upgrades, then I see why they would pass on him. I also feel like the Tigers or Astros will blow the Sox offer out of the water.

Why is Conforto unlikely to come here?

Why am I not credited for the Joey Wendle idea I love the idea of Conforto and Ryan McMahon. McMahon was incredible defensively at 2nd last year in a small sample size. Problem is Rockies seem to want to keep him.

Not to sidetrack the convo but it seems impossible to imagine Semien and Taylor going to the same place. Too many teams looking for shortstops
