  1. All 4 teams I wanted to win....lost.
  2. But hasn’t shifting around the league been more effective than harmful. I made this point the other day, but I can’t imagine how bad the defensive stats for the team would have been if the pitchers didn’t strikeout so many hitters.
  3. And who’s to say he hasn’t tried to bring the game back to the good ole days by minimizing the number of shifts his team would do
  4. Sox throw harder, that’s about it. And I agree about not being at the elite tier, and god knows the Yankees and Jays will keep spending to get to that level. I still can’t stop thinking about how Eloy should be Yordan like and Yoan was supposed to be Kyle Tucker at the plate. WAR doesn’t tell the whole story about how disappointing Yoan has been as an offensive force.
  5. They just seemed slow in the postseason. They have a lot of good athletes, but my god only Cesar Hernandez seemed to get down the line quickly. The injuries seemed to sap Robert, Timmy and Engel of any consistent burst. I can think of one game over last few months where Timmy looked to have plus speed.
  6. He can barely touch 97 consistently pitching one inning every three days. He would probably be 93-94 as a starter.
  7. The bench was ok this year. Definitely need a new back-up catcher.
  8. I don’t think Jurko has ever said one interesting thing in his decades on the radio
  9. Isn’t it really Eloy and Vaughn
  10. And the Sox have had two straight years of the bullpen imploding in the postseason
  11. Eloy should just stick at DH. It’s so embarrassing that he has to play everyone at the track so he doesn’t hurt himself. Just a clown show
  12. I know it will be a big battle, but Schwarber’s bat would be perfect if they foolishly want to try Vaughn and Sheets in RF
  13. Those 9 heads could probably beat the Orioles
  14. Agreed it has to be for significant talent, but he’s the asset they should most be willing to trade at the moment.
  15. It’s crazy how people don’t realize the value he has off the field. The Sox biggest organization strength is signing Cubans, and that is very much thanks to Abreu’s presence.
  16. What if Dodgers cut ties with Bellinger? But yeah, I don’t think they’d have much interest in Vaughn.
  17. Because his value as a reliever is not needed the next few years IMO
  18. I predict Sox and Tampa make a deal this offseason with Wendle or Meadows involved. Not saying it would be for one of them, but I’m sure Tampa would love to acquire Crochet.
  19. FWIW I don’t want Conforto either. He would be my pick for NL player to come here and hit .225
  20. He will have a gigantic market this offseason with the NL having a DH
  21. For starters, S. Marte and Castellanos.
