QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 10:19 PM) That's exactly what makes this so disgusting. Palin is working for McCain... despite all the flaws, and the flat out lies that are being told, it's working. I know it's a little too much to ask, but there should be penalties for false information being reported. This is false advertising, where are the slander lawsuits? I just feel the election system is screwed up when those who have no idea what they are voting for have the same amount of value placed on their vote as those who take the time to get educated. However, that's a much much bigger and probably ridiculous idea that needs to be tapped into. You really put trust in the party delegates to take care of that problem....but now they just automatically give the spot to whoever the presidential nominee chooses....its BS

Good news to read in the morning...mild strain means he should be back in a week or so, he will probably have to wear a brace but it sounds a lot better then losing him from the season.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:42 AM) Hopefully it's not like the definition Halas Hall uses, for a "knee sprain." Remember a few years ago when that was basically the Bears saying "Mike Brown tore his ACL and is out for the season?" fixed that for you

Man...a month and a half ago people would have been ecstatic with this...haha...well maybe not ecstatic but happy none the less..... if Paulie said he'd be surprised if he wasn't back in a few days thats pretty good...means he has to be walking almost normally on it...hopefully only a week here

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 08:30 PM) I'd vote for Swish. He had the whole fanbase fooled into thinking he was something he's not (a good hitter) coming into this season. Sounds like a perfect president to me. -

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 12:11 AM) spoken like someone who has never been there ha, been there plenty, actually signed on to go there but pulled out in favor of WMU at the last minute....just making a joke at the large percentage of hippy chicks...not trying to take anything away from the "hotness" of the girls at your school...

QUOTE (soxman352000 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) That's easier than a shooting fish in a barrel in Carbondale. the key word there is "MUFF" those girls like it natural

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) I think Tampa Bay is the best team. ^^^^ as of now I will go with that. No team in the AL looks that strong, nor does any team in the NL. The world series ring is up for grabs, goes to the team that gets hot at the right time...hopefully this CQ debacle gets this team hot

Sonik, I can really relate to what you are going through. When I first set out for college I was in a situation not too far from what your are going through right now. It took me probably most of my freshman year to get through it and it was tough. I thought I had found the love of my life and didn't want anything to change but thats not how the world works. With time your feelings will pass and you will then be having the time of your life in college. You are too young to let your heart bring you down. Experience what you can now b/c after these 4+ years you can never get them back. I can safely say that toughing through it was probably the best decision I made. I tried to not contact her as much after a while and that helped a lot, for one I wasnt thinking about her as much and for 2 there was less of a chance I would make an ass of myself when drunk dailing. The thing that makes it all perfect is that now I have actually found the girl that I am pretty sure will be my wife. It took time and more experiences to finally realize what true love really is. Everytime I go back home I still talk and hang out with my old flame but we are different now. We still have a great freindship and remember what we were once but we are older now. So give it some time and you will get through it. If you two were meant to be then it will work out in the end. Don't let it ruin your experiences in the present, and hinder your chances of seeing what the world has to offer. I'm only 9 months out of college and would give anything to be back there.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 6, 2008 -> 01:32 AM) I have knee problems similar to yours that so far several doctors can't explain. I had surgery on both of them over the years, and while the docs say everything inside is fine, my right one occasionally just locks up. I can be sitting, and when i try to stand up, it won't straighten, and if I don't catch myself, i fall over. And it hurts when it does that. And like yours, sometimes is just seems to pop out or something for just a sec, and then hurts like hell for a few days. Good luck, I know your pain. I asked ptatc about it and he hit it right on the head... I look at all this and say "was that game of high school intermural basketball really worth it"

QUOTE (Texsox @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 11:03 PM) The GOP is as much a rainbow as the Dems. I don't know if "rainbow" works best with that statement... -
I had ACL reconstructive surgery more than 5 years ago. I also had some cartilage trimmed at the same time Every once in awhile I will be walking normally and my knee will feel like it goes out of alignment. I hear/feel a little crack/pop (nothing like the initial pop when I originally tore the ACL) Afterwords the knee will swell a little bit and it will hurt for 2-3 weeks. This happens maybe once every 4-6 months and is really a pain in the butt. It happened again this morning and I will have pain and a slight limp for a few weeks now and I am not looking forward to it. So I guess what I am asking is, why is my knee doing this? This never happend before I had the surgery. It never happens when I am running or being tough on it, its just happens when I am normally walking and it seems to go out of alignment (feels like my knee cap shifts or something).
