  1. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 2, 2006 -> 08:16 AM) I did save lots of pics of Doug Mirabelli. That Josh Bard pic.
  2. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 2, 2006 -> 08:10 AM) I agree. I think the AL OF should be Manny, Damon, and Vlad, Pujols at 1B for the NL, and Barrett at C for the NL. AL: C - Victor Martinez 1B - Paul Konerko/Chris Shelton 2B - Brian Roberts SS - Miguel Tejada 3B - Eric Chavez OF - Johnny Gomes OF - Vernon Wells OF - Johnny Damon/Jermaine Dye P - Jose Contreras NL: C - Michael Barrett 1B - Albert Pujols 2B - Craig Biggio/Jose Vidro SS - Jack Wilson 3B - Morgan Ensberg OF - Carlos Lee OF - Andruw Jones OF - Pat Burrell P - Greg Maddux Manny has been pretty pathetic this year with only 4 HRs, no way should he start as of now.
  3. QUOTE(Felix @ May 2, 2006 -> 06:17 AM) No problem. As for pictures for yesterday's game, it seems like Sportsline never put them up They didn't put up any MLB pics. I hate when they do this.
  4. Crisp? Ichiro? Piazza? Fielder? Umm no.
  5. QUOTE(bmags @ May 2, 2006 -> 01:32 AM) did the board just change colors? No, you just need to lay off the acid.
  6. Remember, Jason never does anything without warning everyone ahead of time. It's how he rolls appearantly. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=49482
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 1, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) He's got an exploding slider right now. It's breaking 12-18 inches. He could have an incredible season, but I don't think he's likely to keep his stuff and control for the whole year. He has one of the best pitches in baseball going right now, that think is breaking 1-7 and is nearly impossible to hit. The National League truely is the weaker league and I'm thinking he just might keep this up.
  8. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 2, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) I think he can still jack 80 regardless if he is pitched to or not. Put aside Bonds using the juice for a second. In 2001, when he hit 73, he also walked 177 times. I think Pujols can keep it up. The guy is amazing. I think Bonds aside, he and A-Rod have a shot at 800 career HR's if they stay healthy and put up the numbers they have. The only question is do you think they'll deal w/ all the hell Bonds has to deal w/ as they approach the Hammer? Well seeing how both A-Rod and Pujols are genuine characters and just overall great people (especially Pujols), I think they'll be embrased and recognized as the truely great players that they are.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 1, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) If Boone Logan is not on the AL Roster at the ASG, it will be a travesty. :rolly
  10. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 1, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) Rock, I remember Maggs getting booed and I bet Frank will too. Please do not compare the situations it's so different. Jim Thome weaves baskets for the homeless damnit.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 1, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) What im going to take from this game, is the classlessness of Cleveland Indians fans. Booing a player for being forced out by ownership is just plain trashy. He loves Cleveland, he still lives there, he carried your team for years, and is genuinely one of the nicest guys in baseball. Shame on you red neck bastards. This may usher in the Jim Thome "Indians Killer". They really got to him today, he'll be getting to them in the future.
  12. So I think we can add Indian fans to the list of Baseball's most retarded fans, Cubs, Red Sox, Angels, you have company.
  13. QUOTE(The Critic @ May 1, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) He may receive it, but he hasn't earned it. Oversensitive or not, Frank Thomas was the greatest offensive force in White Sox history, and if people boo that, I just think they're wrong. Could not agree more.
  14. QUOTE(The Critic @ May 1, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) I hope Sox fans see how bad this looks and pay respect to Frank on May 22nd. Frank Thomas will more than likely earn the Maggs treatment, 50/50 boos and cheers.
  15. I love ya. I follow college football from afar so I'm sure my post showed my extreme ignorance.
  16. No doubt, the fans reaction has played a huge part in his success (or lack there of) today.
  17. I've been looking for a video for a while and have not been able to find it, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm pretty sure it was Kyle Williams, the LB from Purdue who had a tackle I think it was last year (my memory sucks) where he picked up the runningback and body slammed him I think it may have been VS Wisc. Anyway I can't find the video anywhere, it might be because I don't know WTF I'm looking for.
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 1, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) Ya like Maggs really did as much as Thome did for their respective franchises... And like Thome really left by b****ing out his manager and organization ^^ You really can't compare Thome's return to Magglio's or Frank's.
  19. Ha, if you were 7 feet tall and jumped that high in the air then came down directly on the side of your foot I'm sure you'd just walk it off. Right? Right?
  20. This is honestly one of the most classless displays from a group of fans that I have ever see. This is how you repay a man for carrying your baseball team for a decade?
  21. QUOTE(soxhawks @ May 1, 2006 -> 04:28 PM) I don't think he will break any home run records because everyone hits a wall and he will go through at least one month when he hits less than 5 homers. Umm, no. Albert Pujols has only had 2 months in his 5 year career where he has hit under 5 HRs. July of '01 he hit 4 and September of '02 when he hit 2 HRs. Albert Pujols does not hit walls, he hits balls.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:49 AM) 3 vs CLE --> 2-1 3 at KC --> 3-0 3 at DET --> 2-1 3 vs TOR --> 2-1 3 vs KC ---> 2-1 3 vs MIN --> 2-1 3 at SEA --> 3-0 3 at LAA --> 1-2 ---------------------- 17-7 Well, I got the record correct.
  23. The Indians bullpen may be even worse than once suspected. This is just pathetic.
