I love Miniclip, I challenge any of you to a game of 8-Ball. It's a favorite of mine, it gets me through long, boring lectures.

And if I do my math correctly then Mark Buehrle will be 27 not 28. He was born in 1979 it is currently 2006. 2006 - 1979 = 27

How the hell was I not quoted, I am by far the smartest poster on this site and I had some god damn gems in that thread. What about the rumors I got from my dog or my awesome undeniable Brady Anderson rumor, bastards. -
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 12:37 PM) I didn't want to mention the Cubs right off the bat because it would seem like I was just hating on the Cubs. But, that bench seems pretty pathetic to me. Yeah, it really had nothing to do with the Cubs if the Rangers had that same bench I would have mentioned it.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) Sean McAdam has an article on ESPN.com about the top 5 benches in baseball. The Sox aren't mentioned. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?id=2376779 I think it's kind of laughable. Haha, Neifi Perez, John Mabry, Henry Blanco, Jerry Hairston now THAT is a bench.

QUOTE(fattyguy78 @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) class act...i wish his family was in chicago so he coulda stayed with us He's not good enough to have a spot on this bench.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 11:53 PM) :puke sexist

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) Its basically the end of the world. A website where there is no interaction, just polls. Not to say I dont hate the idea, it just makes me laugh. I also signed up but what is the point of guessing now when most of the polls are open for 20-30 days? Probably will be better when some real sports are on, not just Women's basketball and the NBA. You know its a slow sports night when ESPN is running WNCAA highlights, I think women's sports deserves its own network. Some may say that is sexist, I say its what the people want. I gotta say, if you want to see some truely great basketball you have to check out the WNIT. The fundamentals are through the roof in that thing.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) Nvm, I just looked at it.. I dont really think picking who is gonna win between two teams is a legit measure of someones sports knowledge This is true, a lot of it is just predictions. I'm not really sure how that shows your sports intelligence.

I don't know if I'm eligible for this, I may be too smart.

QUOTE(Random @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) why are you crying? That's what I do after I've been scalded.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 03:23 AM) We almost traded McCarthy for this guy. This is incorrect IMO, we were rumored to be interested in him and the reported deals revolved around Contreras and McCarthy. I don't think KW was ever serious about trading Bmac no matter what you heard in the media at that time.

It's actually more like Zach Duke Matt Clement/Bronson Arroyo Oliver Perez Paul Maholm Ian Snell/Sean Burnett/Victor Santos Kip is out until atleast the All-Star break, they're going to have to plug in one of those 3 for a while. Even with that, this rotation is incredibly solid, it appears that Duke is a stud, Olly Perez has the talent and the ability to be a top of the rotation starter and showed 2 years ago that he can do it, Paul Maholm was incredibly impressive in his short stint with the team last year and if they're able to add Arroyo then this team rotation will be looking great, I really don't think Clement would be all that good for the Pirates, i just think he's shot at this point. Maybe the Pirates can make a run at 4th place this year, push the Cubs even deeper into the s*** of the NL Central.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) Kevin Walker made the team last year didnt he? Logan is better than he will ever be. He is an obvious choice at this point. Kevin Walker did not make the team, Cotts made it over him. Walker was a callup later in the year but he did not make the team out of spring training.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 10:35 AM) that was mostly because of 1 collapse at the end he had... but for the most part he pitched great. ^^^ This is very true. Comming into the year a lot of people were for sending Cotts to AAA to become a SP again and have Kevin Walker take his place in the bullpen. Not to mention when Cotts started the year off poorly and people jumped all over him, I remember the "Neil Focking Cotts" thread from the beginning of last April where Cotts was just torn a new one, there were a few people who wanted Cotts out of here and Waler up and it was only a few games into the season.

This is actually going to be quite an entertaining game to watch.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 06:20 PM) That would be more than Kevin Walker helped us all last season. Kevin Walker is the greatest spring training pitcher in the history of major league baseball. He earned himself a callup later in the year baed soley on his great performance in spring training last year. Now he's pulling the same s*** with the Rangers, now he could very well make the opening day roster because that bastard knows how to strike out minor leaguers in March.

Once again, I got no such email.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) Spring Training numbers mean absolutely nothing. Relax. ^^^ Did anybody watch spring training last year?

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 08:33 AM) i do too because i can't participate this week... Since you're out of town and can't participate this week, should we find a replacement for you to face Heads just for this matchup? Because I have someone in mind.
