  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) Why must you torment the poor child?
  2. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) he could go as high as San Fran.(they have Eric Johnson.... I know) If he fell I'd fall to the ground and praise god for 10 hours straight.. but I dont think its happening. To show just how much the so called "experts" know, there was a guy on the Score the other day from ourlads.com talking about the TEs available in this years draft. He started out by saying that there's no big time TE prospects this year and that none will go in the top five. He then mentioned Vernon Davis as a possibility for the Bears at #26. He then said that their best option at that pick would probably be Marcedes Lewis, he failed to even mention Leonard Pope and said that every TE comming into this years draft is proficient at both catching the ball and blocking. I was physically ill by the end of the interview.
  3. 3 vs CLE --> 2-1 3 at KC --> 3-0 3 at DET --> 2-1 3 vs TOR --> 2-1 3 vs KC ---> 2-1 3 vs MIN --> 2-1 3 at SEA --> 3-0 3 at LAA --> 1-2 ---------------------- 17-7
  4. I'd say Donovan had the right to play the race card when talking about the head of the Philly chapter of the NAACP. That was total bulls*** the way he characterized McNabb and he made it about race.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 10:25 AM) Black on black crime? Why did he have to bring race into this.....there are times to pull that card, but this isn't one of them. It's about an idiot ruining a team and throwing Donovan under the bus, not race. Especially considering how TO didn't even bring up the name Brett Favre, it was Michael Irvin and the guy conducting the original interview with Owens brought up Favre.
  6. I don't think Joe Borchard could even hit .248 over the course of a season as an everyday player.
  7. Question #19 was an interesting one. You have to think the player was making $10 a month as a personal trainer which would leave you to believe that the player was working in a foreign country and that they were probably over 20 at the time. Damaso Marte and Pablo Ozuna were both very young when they signed thier pro contracts so they probably weren't personal trainers. That would leave the two Cubans and noing a little background on Contreras and Hernandez told me that Jose was a stud pitcher in Cuba and a favorite of Castro himself which would lead me to believe that he would not have to take a job as a personal trainer, he would be taken care of by the Cuban government instead. That means El Duque has to be the Trainer, deduction works wonders.
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) I wish there was a site I could visit where I could explore past trades and the players involved. You can just go to baseballreference.com and look up a player and see all the deals he was involved in.
  9. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) Wasnt Alex Escobar one of the famous cant-miss prospects? He was a bigger prospect for the Mets. Came over to Cleveland in the Lawton deal and decided he would continue his injury prone ways.
  10. Wasn't Brandon Phillips all glove and no bat, then b****ed when they sent him back to AAA instead of working on his hitting because of his massive ego? Sounds similar to a certain middle infielder that the Sox once traded Chris Singleton for.
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 11:04 PM) Yea, I figured it was Ozzie Ozzie is too old and has been in this country for too long, Uribe really was the obvious choice. I'm surprised noone else has scored a perfect, I didn't think they were all that hard, I just had a tough time chosing between Everett and Hermanson on the Bible script question. Hermanson made more sense in the end though.
  12. QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) Doesn't matter if they threw cotton, baseball, paper, or pickles at him. It is just not what someone of authority should be allowing. If i was in his class and he wore something i didn't like he better be ready for a book at his head. The kid is only a pussy in my mind for taking it... not for telling. I would have told and try to have his job. He apparently did not pursue it to great lengths. He's a pussy for even sitting on the floor in front of the class. Why would anyone take that sort of s*** from a teacher?

    QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) Sorry it's not in packets. Seriously though, who wouldn't love a boss who carried sugar in his pockets.
  14. QUOTE(sox4life14 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) got 20 i go to the same church as Tadahito Iguchi I once saw him at the Best Buy on Golf Road.
  15. Your score: 27/27 Ha Ha, everyone sucks but me!
  16. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) Those girls are pretty decent looking. Wonder if this is from when he went back to miami. Miami Ohio: Hot Babe Central
  17. QUOTE(Nokona @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) Good. I think the kid was being a little b**** especially after I saw his picture. ^^ What the hell kind of kid gets up and sits on the floor in front of the class and then takes a barage of paper balls to the head? He sounds like a pussy to me, there's no way in hell I'd sit in front of the class to begin with which is something he should never have done.

    QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) What frustrates me even more is that the local Fox affiliate seems to keep trying to cram the same lesser new episodes down our throats with the reruns every week. They show the episodes from the last couple seasons considerably more than the really good ones between about seasons 4 and 10, or before that too. All of my favorite episodes that I can think of fall in the season 8-9 range (Homer joins NRA, Homer joins Naval Reserve, and Homer becomes the Beer Baron). The only one from the last few years that I thought was still pretty good was the episode where they go to Brazil, and the "Behind the Laughter" episode was pretty good. Other than that there are only one or two good lines/scenes per episode, tops. It really bothers me, because it was such a good show in its prime. Family Guy is pretty good, but it's not the same. The references are usually a bit more obscure, meaning that a higher percentage of the jokes go over the viewer's head. Also, some of the scenes go a lot longer than is really effective, especially the musical numbers (This week's endzone dance is a prime example. You probably could have shaved 30 seconds to a minute off of that without losing anything). There is definitely some good material, but like 5 minutes of every episode get wasted because of those two gripes of mine. At least that's my opinion of it. I agree 110%. We have the exact same mind set on this. It sickens me whenever I turn on Fox at 5, 6 or 10 and see an episode from 2005. Would it be so hard to show a few episodes from season 8 or 9? Hank Scorpio is one of the greatest characters in the history of television and probably the greatest animated super villian to ever exist yet so many people don't remember who he is because the damn reruns they show on Fox all have Alec Baldwin as a guest star.

    QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) It's our scheduled Sunday night viewing...EVERY Sunday night. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) Same here, although I'll readily admit I usually laugh a lot more at Family Guy. (You shot me in both knees and set me on fire.) You are both part of the problem, if people just stopped watching that pathetic show it would go away. Instead we have to indure another 20 seasons of that s***. It's sad because the last half way decent Simpsons episode aired almost 7 years ago in 1999. How pathetic is that?
  20. QUOTE(spiderman @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 01:00 PM) Why do you not speak of highly of Gload in the OF ? Last season, he wasn't able to play out there because of the shoulder surgury, and the year before, he ended up playing 1B most of the time. Yes, 1B is his natural position, but if has to fill in once a week for Dye, I'm fine with that. Do you remember him in the OF in '04? He was f***ing pathetic, he lucked clueless out there and any ball hit to him was an adventure, I personally never want to see him out there Mack and Borch can play LF, CF or RF just fine.
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) I believe he is commenting on the edges of the circle not being too crisp and clean. nope
  22. I have 0 faith in Dustin Hermanson to repeat what he did last year, I think we'll be lucky to get a 3.50 ERA and 40 innings out of him this year.
  23. QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 12:56 AM) I only mention those 3 names, becuase those are the only 3 that would be an upgrade to our ballclub. We don't have too many holes on our team. The left side of the infield, is the only area I would upgrade. Crede and Uribe are probably our two weakest position spots. Some may say Anderson may be weak as well since he is unproven at the MLB level but they dont have a ML ready CF except Beltran and that trade won't be happening. I say Milledge because he is one of their few remaining stud prospects remaining after Minaya traded everyone away for the Marlins 1B and C and he looks to be a stud come 2007. I'd say the bullpen is in much bigger need of an upgrade than the left side of the infield.
