  1. Phil Humber: 2-2 25.1 IP, 1 HR, 1.07 WHIP, 3.20 ERA
  2. Duncan Keith is trending worldwide on Twitter.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 10:22 AM) I have to imagine someone out there taking a chance and claiming him, right? Someone will likely put in a claim, there's just seemingly too much talent there not to give him a shot at a change of scenery. Looking at some of the god awful players on rosters throughout baseball there's certainly room for him on a few teams.
  4. Brandon Wood has been DFA'd. End of an era. A horrible, sad era. Of course that's assuming the former #3 prospect in all of baseball doesn't clear waivers which I wouldn't count on. I hope for his sake that he's claimed or traded, an outright release would be pretty brutal.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 10:57 PM) lol@ Kalapse pretending to know hoops. I'll give you baseball. Hoops? No. When have you ever actually seen me talk basketball? Never? Probably. For all you know I'm a basketball savant.
  6. When saying Rose was 0-9 from 3 also keep in mind that he threw up 2 heaves at the end of quarters 1 and 2 and another desperation 3 just before the shot clock ran out. 0-6 is still bad but 0-9 is misleading.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:57 PM) I'm not sure how saying that Adam Dunn told Felix he is a f***ing joke is a personal attack but duly noted. I would suggest that you need to get out of your parents' basement and get laid every once in a while though. It might lighten you up. BANNED! f***ING BANNED! HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT?
  8. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:49 PM) Kind of sad when you threaten me to not personally attack anyone, then promptly ignore it when others do the same to me. There was 1 and I gave a warning a few posts up. Stick to your straw-man arguments, no need to go after people the way you are.
  9. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:47 PM) I never said anything to the contrary. I simply pointed out a statistical fact that Dunn will be out more often than he will be safe, and then I was told I was wrong. That's simply not the case. Kind of sad when you have to use semantics and verbiage to win an argument.
  10. QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) I have never commented on dunn since he was acquired...you would know him better as the free swinging lumber jack that can't fight through a simple surgery. Put it this way, if you do not believe me, you can check it out yourself, mr smarty pants. So you conveniently skirted the issue? How sad.
  11. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:30 PM) OPS? Why would anyone care about that? What's his batting average now? Yeah, right around his career norm. Once again, I pose the question to you: were you saying these same things when he was signed?
  12. QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) What is the first stat always shown from left to right? Now when i say this i mean since the beginning of history... can this be denied? Someone needs to bone up on their history. Since clearly average is by far the most important... all those other fancy stats can... and should... be thrown out the window. Um, his average is .010 points below his career number, where were you 2 months ago? Were you complaining about his lack of batting average? If not I think it's time to slink away, little man.
  13. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) So what, we've learned he can hit a batting practice pitch from a joke of a pitcher? What's the big deal? Hate to break it to you but his OPS is now .926. Big blow. And lets ALL quit it with the personal attacks, no need for this discussion to get nasty. I'm talking to you specifically, ws99.
  14. QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:17 PM) Ever hear of mario mendoza? Dunn isn't even hitting at that level. Kinda pathetic if you think about it. What's his OPS? OBP? Pit/PA? Just curious, are those bordering on the production of Mario Mendoza?
  15. Cut out the personal attacks, Felix. Otherwise action WILL be taken.
  16. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:07 PM) You're rather preposterous. Your face is preposterous.
  17. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) One guy can't lead a team into the playoffs? What? Joey Votto did exactly that last year for the Reds. He was that team, and made everyone around him better. With Dunn on the team, that simply would not have happened. Well, that's rather preposterous.
  18. As of right now Nathan's fastball is down about 2.5 MPH. He maxed out at 92 today with an average of 91.19. In the 4 IP he had coming into today his average fastball was 91.2 MPH so he's pretty consistent. In 2009 his average fastball was 93.6 MPH.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 08:42 PM) Haha, Twins got 1 in the top of the 10th and Damon just walked it off with a 2-run blast in the bottom Awesome 4H, 1BB, 0K, 4ER and 2 BS in 1.1 IP for both Twins closers today.
  20. I HAD been giving Pierre the benefit of the doubt because I had no choice, he did manage a .340 OBP last year (which is still s*** and he was hit by many pitches but still better than I expected) and his defense is god damn solid. Well, that mother f***er is dead to me. He's single-handedly f***ing up Matt Thornton's career.
  21. Not that Manny being a roider is a some shocking new revelation or anything but seems like an appropriate time to look at this depressing ass list: 1 Bonds 2 Aaron 3 Ruth 4 Mays 5 Griffey 6 Rodriguez 7 Sosa 8 Thome 9 Robinson 10 McGwire 11 Killebrew 12 Palmeiro 13 Jackson 14 Ramirez 15 Schmidt 16 Mantle 17 Foxx 18 McCovey 18 Thomas 18 Williams The revised list does move Jim Thome up to 5th all time which is quite nice. 1 Aaron 2 Ruth 3 Mays 4 Griffey 5 Thome 6 Robinson 7 Killebrew 8 Jackson 9 Schmidt 10 Mantle 11 Foxx 12 McCovey 12 Thomas 12 Williams
  22. What a f***ing loser. Talk about destroying a legacy at the very tail end of a career.

    2011 Films Thread

I am shocked, SHOCKED by the early reviews on these 2 movies: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/your_highness/ http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/arthur_2011/
  24. QUOTE (Anderson Cooper's Quivering @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:43 PM) PS - If Adam Dunn misses only one game after having one of his internal organs removed, does this make him the ultimate legendary Sox grinder, thus supplanting Sir AAAron Rowand? Please, please, please don't call Adam Dunn a grinder. Please.
