  1. No way he is safe
  2. Sox 1-0
  3. Sanchez terrible job
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Aug 31, 2014 -> 01:17 PM) How is that a base hit? Error to me.
  5. Kind of ironic Dunn is player of the month for August on team calendar..............turning the page for real today.
  6. In Sanburn, the Sox will acquire a right-hander that ranked 12th on MLB.com’s midseason list of top 20 Athletics prospects. The 23-year-old was Oakland’s second-round pick back in 2012 and has pitched to a 3.28 ERA with 9.2 K/9 and 3.2 BB/9 in 71 1/3 relief innings at Class-A Advanced this season. He’s finished 23 games and picked up six saves in his time at Stockton. Sanburn has been plagued by some shoulder issues, but he also has less mileage on his arm than many pitching prospects due to the fact that he was an outfielder in college and for part of his time in college at Arkansas. Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com note in their free scouting report that Sanburn touched 99 mph in college and offers a curveball with good depth as well. The MLB.com duo notes that Sanburn has a promising slider and changeup as well, but concerns over his durability have led to a bullpen role this season in Oakland. Per mlbrumors
  7. I wish Dunn good luck...........he was not a bad guy. I can see him going on a HR binge rest of the way.
  8. Athletics acquired DH Adam Dunn and cash considerations from the White Sox in exchange for RHP Nolan Sanburn. Chicago is expected to cover $1.3 million of the $2.5 million remaining on Dunn's contract. The A's were on Dunn's limited no-trade list, but he waived the clause for the opportunity to play for a contender. Dunn, who has indicated that he might retire after the season, has never played in a playoff game. The hulking slugger has batted .220/.340/.433 with 20 homers and 54 RBI for the White Sox this season and the A's are hopeful that he'll spark a suddenly dormant offense. He play regularly in the DH spot versus righties and is expected to join the team on Monday. Per Rotoworld
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 09:29 PM) If they're letting Garcia bat here, it says to mean Dunn's being traded. Down by 4?
  10. Probably not going to see Nathan now.
  11. Gave the runs right back.
  12. Hit him on a 0-2 count
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) Absolutely. I love it
  14. Orioles acquired OF Alejandro De Aza from the White Sox for RHPs Miguel Chalas and Mark Blackmar. De Aza has good speed and can play all three outfield positions, making him a nice addition to the Baltimore bench for the stretch run. The 30-year-old was batting .243/.309/.354 with 15 stolen bases in 122 games this season for the White Sox. He'll be arbitration-eligible for the third and final time this winter. Chalas and Blackmar are non-prospects. Source: Eduardo A. Encina on Twitter
  15. I am very happy tonight. De Aza leaving is addition by subtraction for 2015.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Amazing they couldn't score off of this pitcher in 6 innings. Thought the same thing.
  17. Baltimore opened up 2 spots on 40 man today.
  18. That is not close to a strike.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) Conor started out pretty decently defensively last year, but was awful the last couple of months. This year, a similar pattern seems to be occurring. He has been awful on the defensive side since the Dodger series. He is not a everyday 3rd basemen.
  20. Conor can you maybe stop 1 ball tonight?
  21. Need innings from Carroll at this point with a DH Saturday.
  22. This is not the Sox night or year.
  23. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 08:49 PM) "Tyler Flowers is so good it's scary" - greg, like 2 weeks ago Only thing scary to me is If he the starter again next year.
  24. Flowers looking like old self again.
