QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) My prediction is since Baines is already #5: 4. Fisk 3. Ventura 2. Buehrle 1. Thomas Fisk and Ventura would be flipped for my second prediction. Uh oh, with Buehrle being #2, it looks like my prediction is going to be right. Granted guessing the top 4 isn't as tough as other predictions.

QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 09:12 AM) Saw this quote on a Twins board and thought it was funny... Gardy comes out of the dugout with Mijares on the mound and I yelled, 'Please not Guerrier!!' Then they flash to the bullpen doors and here comes good ole meat. I threw my remote across the room knowing we were done. Why can we all see this yet Gardy sticks by him despite his struggles game after game after game after game............. All I could picture was Gardy going to the bullpen phone and dialing up the local Buffalo Wild Wings while asking, 'Hey guys, who should I bring in?' Guerrier has become Mahoney. Right now Guerrier is nearly equal to Boone Logan. I am always excited to see Guerrier come in and pitch.

You have failed us Cliff Lee. Honestly I'm not surprised, this race will go down to the last few days. The Twins will keep fighting back until the end of it. -

Did Josh Hamilton hit the wall or something? Morneau is leading the league with 128 RBI's now. -
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 08:01 AM) I don't have the Season Pass and only get to see box scores, so I'm curious, what's been wrong with Nathan? Is his defense letting him down or has he lost something in his pitches? Jimbo and I have said that he rarely throws strikes, he gets hitters to chase his stuff. That isn't happening as much as it used to. The defense has let him down a couple of times in the last month or so, plus he threw a game losing error to 3rd base against Oakland. It could also be he's losing confidence in his stuff. I mostly think it's the control issue. It almost seems like most hitters try to take a strike from him, and it's been working.

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 10:26 PM) Is it me or is Nathan struggling recently? From the highlights I've seen his command doesn't seem the same. Maybe just me. Yes he is in my opinion. Hitters are finally realizing that he throws a lot of balls. Earlier in the season and in previous seasons he would get hitters to chase his nasty stuff, not they are laying off his pitches more often.

Grady Sizemore hits a homer against someone else!
-
This Bettencourt pitcher sucks big time.
-
WhiteSoxBrian, the whole soxtalk community is lining up at your front door with torches and pitch forks, I'm terribly sorry. haha NEVER count the Twins out until it's over.
-
Jhonny Peralta had a lead off single and the Indians can't get him in. I can't believe Wedge let Jackson start the 6th inning after giving up 4 in the 5th.
-
I'm both surprised and not surprised. I'm surprised because it's so close to the end of the year, I'm not surprised because it needed to be done if they have a second collapse in as many years.
-
Thornton is too hot and cold for my liking. He has some control issues at times. It'd almost be like having Billy Koch save for us, just not as bad.
-
That homer ranks up there with Konerko's against the Twins in 2003 with 2 outs in the 9th and then Thomas' walk off later on in the game. Swishers walk off earlier this year is there as well. I'm probably forgetting some, Thome's walk off against LA was awesome, so was his walk off 500th career homerun. Pods walk off in the World Series is above.
-
earlier in the week against the Blue Jays the Twins gained 1 1/2 games on us since we lost the double header to Toronto, today we make it even gaining 1 1/2 games on them.
-
SWEEPING THE DOUBLE HEADER!!!!! DEWAYNE WISE COMING UP CLUTCH!!!!!!!!
-
GAME!
-
D WISE might have just turned our season around, there's a lot of ball left in the series, and in this game, but blowing a 7 run lead and losing would've been an enornous downer.

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 09:08 PM) f*** YOU OZZIE HIT BA HERE NOT PIECE OF s*** WISE SCREW YOU AND YOUR GOD DAMN MATCHUPS. lol I was with you on that one, and I'm a huge Wise fan. I wanted him in for Hall, not Anderson though.
-
DWAYNW WISE!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
that's our lucky break, lol the Twins probably would've had it bounce over his head, but that's how it goes. Now Wise is in? Seriously he should've been in for Toby Hall, not Brian Anderson.

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 09:05 PM) I'm not overly pissed about this just because I could see it coming. If it would have come as a huge surprise I'd probably be more angry. Want to tell me what the Powerball numbers are because there was no way I saw this coming.
