Twins Watch Thread 2008
Tony Pena Jr. is batting .148 this year and is 1 of 16 against the Twins. I wish Billy Butler was still in the game.

Fantasy Football
Are we doing a fantasy football league or did I miss the sign up already?

And that's a White Sox Winner!
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 03:19 PM) I don't think Hamilton will get it either. He's still miles ahead in RBI's. But his homers have slowed and his average has dropped. But he had a nice game today. 3 for 6 with a homer and 3 RBI's. Great win today!

First man on in the top of the 10th. Seems like the Twins can always manufacture a run with a runner on and no outs. Cmon Soria.

Sawx @ Sox 8-10
way to prove me wrong Bobby!

Sawx @ Sox 8-10
Soria for the Royals has some nasty stuff.

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 04:01 PM) Just get it over with before Papi comes up. Haha since when does Bobby go 1, 2, 3? It's usually always interesting. Prove me wrong Bobby!

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) that error on Everett was actually a blown call by the 1B Ump, just sayin go royals though Yeah from the angle I saw it looked like it could've been too. But if Everett had thrown an accurate ball, wouldn't have happened. Plus in the last game against the Mariners the Twins got a blown call go their way, and got some runs out of it too.

Sawx @ Sox 8-10
I think it's time to see someone else bat 2nd besides AJ. Maybe Ramirez?

Sawx @ Sox 8-10
Throwing error by Everett at shortstop. 4-4 now.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) Billy Butler is on a roll 1st and 3rd, 1 out for the royals Billy Butler, another person younger than me who's playing now. I'm feeling old. It also sucks seeing what a beast Dwight Howard is and know I'm like 4 weeks older than him.

Sawx @ Sox 8-10
Every time I hope for something out of Uribe, he fails, then when I expect him to suck, he does decent with the bat and the glove.

Sawx @ Sox 8-10
It's not very often nowadays we can say the first time Konerko got out was on his 4th plate appearance.

The Royals scored 2 in the 6th to tie it against the Twins, then they give a run right up so it's now 3-2 Twins.

50 FAVORITE WHITE SOX PLAYERS
I was very exited to get him on the team. And it is a very sad story. I seem to remember the 2nd year into his contract with the Orioles that he wrote a letter saying he missed the White Sox.

How About a Garcia Comeback?
The chances of Garcia coming back probably went up after tonight. I'm still not totally sold on bringing him back though. Needless to say we need a 5th starter. I wish we could pull some rabbit out of a hat and make him have sucess like the Twins do.

I was hoping so much that Young would charge the mound or throw a bat again (as long as he didn't injure anyone) and get a major suspension.

Sox acquire Horacio Ramirez from KC
QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) Agreed, I was a huge Josh supporter last year but I he hasn't shown anything this year. Maybe he should've been traded when his value was higher, like Jeremy Reed was. I remember this board when Reed was traded, a lot of people were pissed. But with Crede's agent and back, it's hard to tell what will happen with him.

You've Been Barack Rolled
haha very funny, I like the Rick Rolls too.

Jose Contreras Done For Year
That was painful watching him fall down. I wish him the best and am very sad he won't be back this year, and maybe never again.

2008 Beijing Summer Olympics Thread
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 09:56 PM) call me cynical, I bet some of those people have been training to be in the opening ceremony since they were 5. I'm with you on that one. There's never a bad time for a USA chant. USA! USA! USA!
