  1. this is bulls***, it's bulls*** how the Twins get a gift at first base and take advantage of it, it's bulls*** that Thornton was in this inning.
  2. Twins winning 7-6. Looked like the inning should've been over on a blown call at first.
  3. 6-3 Mariners. Ibanez has 11 RBI's in 2 games.
  4. yeah and Morneau popped out. I'm just worried about the Sox game, come on Jermaine!
  5. as bad as Uribe is at batting, his fielding is steller.
  6. Way to help out Jeremy Reed, base hit. Ichiro on 2nd, Reed on 1st, hopefully something happens.
  7. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 08:50 PM) Who is the starting QB for the preseason game? no clue, I'm not paying too much attention to the game if that's what you're asking. The last time Ichiro was hitless against the Twins was May of 2006, and he just got a hit.
  8. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 08:48 PM) every time I look up the Twins have a man on base, im so jealous well Mauer just hit into a double play, so no one on base now.
  9. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) what is Robertson overall record? lol not good, like 48-63, I glanced at it. His ERA is like 4.80 too, so not a lot of difference between them, we just gave up a lot of runs tonight.
  10. QUOTE (BearSox @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) Is anyone else really excited that we will now probably see Uribe starting probably 4-5 times a week now that he has been named the starter and Crede doesn't look to be returning anytime soon? God, I thought I was done seeing him be a starter for the White Sox when Alexei took his spot at 2B... He's just like a bad dream, keeps reappearing at different spots.
  11. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 08:29 PM) 2-0 twins they are also going up against a guy named R.A. Dickey who is 19-25 with a 5.41 ERA.
  12. Anyone who currently plays in the state of Minnesota. No offense to anyone that lives there, I just don't like that state in general.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 11:36 PM) Yay for Jeff Clement He broke the all time home run record at my high school stadium. I think it was 73 or something held by Drew Henson nation wide. I was at bat in Marshalltown, where he's from when they announced it, so that's my micro piece of history with him.
  14. wow I was watching the game and turned it off after a 6-1 lead, now the Twins just lost 11-6, crazy.
  15. I never liked the Garland trade from the begining. But our rotation would've been with Buehrle, Vazquez, Contreras, Garland, Danks, meaning Floyd would've been left out. Right now I'd still rather have Floyd starting than Garland.
  16. This has been a crazy story so far and I'm thinking it'll only get crazier.
  17. I was shocked to hear this as well. RIP.
  18. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) I'd like to see Swish move up ahead of Quentin in the 2 spot. Not only is the OC/AJ combo have the worst OBP in our lineup, but aside from Ramirez, are the two least patient hitters. Getting Carlos to see some more pitches and getting a higher OBP ahead of him can only help. In a lineup without Pauly, OC and AJ are our two least productive hitters. It doesn't make sense to keep them there, IMO. I haven't been a fan of the batting AJ second plan. I like Ramirez at 9th but wouldn't mind him going to 1st in order to move Cabrera to 2nd. Actually I wouldn't mind seeing Griffey bat 2nd if he was healthy enough. Cabrera, Griffey, Quentin, Dye, Thome, Konerko/Swisher, Crede, Pierzynski, Ramirez. Haha sorry I'm just making up crazy lineups tonight.
  19. We need Crede, Contreras, and Linebrink back. A lineup simular to this would be awesome, but most of all, the bullpen needs to pitch like they were when Joe Morgan said they might be the best bullpen ever. I still say he's the jinx. Cabrera Pierzynski Quinten Dye Thome Griffey Konerko Crede Ramirez
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) It was 2-2 before Boone came in. huh?
  21. It would've been nice to get a couple more runs, if anything make it more presentable.
  22. Well at least we're not the only ones having a bad day. Chone Figgins is too.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2008 -> 03:04 PM) So I turned on TBS to watch Yanks/Angels slugfest. In a tie game in bottom of 8th, Jeter was up with 1st and 3rd, no outs. The infield was in, and Jeter grounded out to SS. The runner got to 2nd base, but the runner on 3rd didn't score. Chippy goes "a very productive out for Jeter". Yep, I didn't get how that was "very productive" either.
