I think there's enough Detroits in that sentence.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) I heard they age well.... lol yes just like other special beverages.

lol take Timo, I'd love to see it. But watch him before the right fielder and bat .320 on the year, lol.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) There used to be one at my Grandmother's church in Lousiana. It was a neat part of the sunday morning ritual. I still have a couple of unopened 1997 Christmas Coke bottles, I don't know why, but I just never drank it before.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) I want one of those machines that opens in the front with a glass door and you pay and it allows you to take one. I'd buy a bunch of glass bottle cokes. Those are cool. A local drug store in my town had one up to like 5 years ago.

I've never played an online game like that. It's just never seemed interesting to me.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) Not only will it be Borchard but I think he's going to add on to his 2005 success. In 2005 he led the Knights in TB & broke the Knight's all-time hit record. When called up in 2005 he made the most of his AB's & didn't choke. He represents insurance along with Mack against a Thome injury. Bench: Widger, Ozuna, Mack, Gload, & Borchy. As a SH Borchy's the only power RH option off the bench. If he survives ST in good health he's a lock for that spot. lol it doesn't surprise me that he broke the all time hit record, he's been there forever.

QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 04:51 PM) I may have to... but not yet. Well it's gonna be a challenge finding 13 or however many people.

Yeah that pretty much says it doesn't it. She's not too attractive either.

Yeah I was kinda speechless when I saw this. How doesn't she get into trouble for having the body chopped up? That's what I'm wondering about. I don't think the death is her fault though.

I'm not into WWE or any kind of wrestling, but it's worth seeing if he's on it.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) Let me clarify. Based on the current state of the NCAA, I can see putting Gonzaga at #5 and GW at #10, and they are both nice teams. But ANY other year, neither of these teams sniff the top 10. GW in their one true test this year was BLOWN AWAY by NC State, and Gonzaga, although good, isn't a top 10 team either (they play NO defense). EDIT: As I look, I give GW some props, as they won a close one at home vs. Maryland and another at Temple, 2 nice wins. But I just can't buy them as a top 10 team, maybe it's just the fact it's freaking GW. Gonzaga has been in the top 10 regularly a couple of times in the past 5 years or so. Yes they lack defense but they're very explosive and have one of the best offenses in the country. I never said anything about George Washington, maybe any other year it'd be like that, but Gonzaga is here to stay. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) The fact that Gonzaga is #5 and George Washington is #10 in the land in both polls tells me (1) how down the NCAA is and (2) how dumb the voters are. Have you looked at who Gonzaga has played? Let's give them some love they play a very tough schedule. The teams they've lost to are Connecticut, who's #1 as of now, at a neutral site, #15 Washington on the road, who had the nation's longest home winning streak at the time I believe, and #3 Memphis on the road as well. The NCAA may be down this year but Gonzaga is a good team regardless, the voters aren't dumb for putting them in 5th. -
If you're wondering what A means, it means alternates, which I'm sure there is no need for.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 29, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) Pistons up 14 now. Team play will ALWAYS outshine a one man show. I love watching the Pistons play. -
And if he ever got back to the big leagues with them he wouldn't hit 10 home runs in that ballpark.
-
Yep, Thome knows his AL pitchers. I'm not too worried about it.
-
I picked Ben Grieve as a hopeful pick. I'd like to see a veteran like him make it somewhere in the big leagues anyways.

QUOTE(farmteam @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) It's not that big of a deal to not be nominated guys. I've been here a decent amount of time, but for the two awards sessions I've been here for, I haven't been nominated, but I don't care. It's not like it makes it less fun posting at Soxtalk if you're not nominated or something. Yeah I haven't been nominated in my two awards sessions either. I don't care either because I'm completely average for basically everything.

Yeah you gotta post a lot more. The key to winning is posting at least 5,000 times your first year.

I'll take Corwin Malone since I like the name. But I'll probably CorLose this one. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 29, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) One thing I'll say about Kobe this year, his jumper is straight butta right now. He's really worked on that the last couple years. His Jumper was broke as hell last year. The Pistons are still gonna win this game fairly easily. Yeah I think the Pistons are going to win this one too. The Lakers had it close for the longest time. Being down 9 points isn't terrible, but when you're going against the Pistons it's hard to overcome. -
If you can't find anyone to do the Jaguars you can double me up. My brother's a big Jaguars fan and would do it on my name.
