QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) He'll only get it if they win, but Vince Young should get player of the game regardless of the outcome. I'd agree with that. I don't like it how the player of the game only comes from the winning team. If they deserve it or even if it's very close, sure let the player of the winning team have it. But when it's an easy decision, the outcome shouldn't matter who wins it. -

Texas just scored 6 with an iffy extra point on the way. -
I don't think either team is going to make it, but out of the 2 I think the Colts have the better chance and they would be able to beat the Bears if those two matched up.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 08:20 AM) As a person who's been in the middle of a 3.6 earthquake, I can tell you that most of those people probably didn't even notice it as it happened. But yes, the New Madrid fault is always forgotten and sadly it will stay that way until it causes a significant quake like the 1811 one. Exactly, I remember hearing about it for the first time in elementary school thinking that earthquakes only happened in California, haha. But people will learn about it when it happens. That's the way most things go.

I'd like to see the coaches be able to have red flags for challenging like the pro coaches do. Not that Bush's TD wasn't one, I just like how the pros do it. -
Flutie earned special teams player of the week. Where was Neil Rackers last weekend? That guy does nothing but kick field goals. I suppose it's alright that Flutie got it because it hasn't been done in almost 65 years.

South Park Really Ticks Off Catholics
WilliamTell replied to LowerCaseRepublican's topic in The Filibuster
Have the Jews complained about South Park? I don't know, I'm asking the question. But I would think they'd have more to complain about than an episode or two on South Park. South Park makes fun of anything and everything. It's almost impossible to find something on South Park that doesn't hit home in some form. It's not like the Catholics are perfect even though a lot act like they're better than any other Christian. I think I'm going to go to some Catholic church, learn exactly what they do, and then go to another church and take communion. haha not that it's a big deal, but it's just something I wanna see done since Protestants aren't supposed to commune at a Catholic church. -

His 3rd career 5x5. The Jazz are now in a first place tie. While I don't think they'll win the weakest division in the west, they may compete for a playoff spot though. -
Sounds like it's just the opposite. Only 1 survived. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10682163/ Very sad news indeed. RIP to all.

NFL Coaches Firings Galore!
WilliamTell replied to Pierzynski 12's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 1, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) If Jeff Fisher became available a lot of team would definitely love to have him. It depends on what owner Bud Adams wants to do, but Fisher isn't in any trouble right now. And the more I think about it, the more Herm Edwards seems like the perfect coach for the Chiefs. I'd love to see either of these coaches coach the Chiefs. But I don't think either will be fired. There's no reason to get rid of Fisher, he had the youngest team in the league and for a few years his team has been fighting the salary cap. I miss seeing those Titans in the playoffs. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) How damn good is Lebron? Totally took apart the Pistons today. His overall efficiency is sick. I can't think of anybody that's averaged over 25 ppg while shooting 50% from the field since you know who. Could we see the greatest player ever to play, who knows. Not trying to compare him to anyone, espeically until he takes the Cavs to the promise land let alone the playoffs. It'll be a fun 15+ years to watch from this guy. -
I don't know mine yet but I'm gonna try to write down 10 or so, so I have a good chance of at least keeping 1 or more intact the whole year.
