QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) yeah, because they are giving it away for free, like crazy. I guarantee those numbers are quite inflated. People are not keeping the service after the free 3 month subscription. It almost sounds like you're an XM hater which is your opinion. I don't hate Sirius but since I got an XM for Christmas I'm not going to get a Sirius right away.

lol I was gonna say, I heard he hired an agent so that'd be impossible. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 06:47 PM) Ha, there's no chance that Reggie White doesn't get in. Aikmen is a shoe in too aswell as Madden I would assume. -
Snubbed Gossage rips Hall of Fame voters

I'm glad he ripped them but that probably also means it's going to be hard for him to be elected. -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) I have a family tree that traces back to my 15x great-grandfather in the 1500's back in Holzien, Switzerland. Hans was a popular name. The farthest one I have traced back is 7 generations to England, not to brag and believe it's nothing to brag about, but my 7x great-grandfather had royal British blood which is kind of cool. What I'm trying to find is my family from Norway on my other side.

I'd like to get an avatar that had an arrow going through and apple so it would symbolize William Tell. If the name WilliamTell can get into it that'd be cool but otherwise it's just ok with an arrow going through an apple. Thanks for the help.

I guess I don't mind it too much. He played pretty evenly on 3 teams and he didn't win a World Series with the Cardinals.

Art Monk and Derrick Thomas didn't make it last year, I hope both will make it this year. -

How many does XM have? I heard 6 million but that was from another person so it could be wrong.

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) I don't mind other galaxies interlooping in our Galaxy...but they have to learn to speak English!! lol wow that's the funniest post I've seen for a while.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 09:21 AM) I can tell you that the organization that has the single largest depository of geneological information is... the Mormon Church. Scary, huh? Yeah my brother just told me that today actually. Pretty cool stuff.
-
I'm guessing that's not her either.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) usually those sites are pay per view. There's money to be made on Geneology sites. I don't know if this explains anything, but on my dad's side, I believe a great-great-great uncle, possibly even a grandfather, was a Civil War captain in the cavalry......................for the south. needless to say, we lost a lot of land and a lot of slaves. I think that's the best bad thing that's ever happened to my family haha I don't know if i had a family member in the Civil War, I don't think I did. But yeah most of them are pay per view sites. I'd just like to know what's the best or a really good one.

Has anyone ever searched their family tree online? And if you have could you recommend a good site for that. I'm starting to try to find my ancestors from Norway 150 years ago in hope to find some long distance relatives that live in Norway now. I'm sure I'll have to pay to use a site but a free one would be great, haha. So if anyone has anything about a good ancestry site or whatever else, I'd really like to know what it is. Thanks in advance.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) I liked Aaron Rowand, and his number was 44. It's such a classic now that I can't change it. Rowand 44 is classic. Maybe WHarris1 should switch it to WHarris12, that'd be classic too.

I'm sure they would've fired him though. It was kind of a compromise between the Jets and the Chiefs. The Jets obviously wanted more than a 4th round pick, but might have ended up firing him anyways whereas the Chiefs were willing to give up that pick. At first the Jets wanted a pick just for having the Chiefs talk to them, then they backed off on that which tells me that they weren't really thrilled about having him back next year.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) ESPN screwed up and put the phone number to a confrence call out in public in one of their wire reports. A BUNCH of people got a hold of the number and "joined" in on the call. It was freaking hysterical. lol shucks I wish I would've seen it. Those boards are Bush League compared to this one though. I remember those guys always used to complain about soxtalk and when soxtalk passed the ESPN White Sox board in total posts everyone was pissed off. I laughed about it and had to check out soxtalk but I didn't become a member for a longtime. My favorite poster there was Bridgeport Joe and Chisox361 always made me laugh. I haven't seen either of them over there for a long time now.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:46 PM) Boog's real name was scott...or scotty Boog I've had my name since 2000 on the ESPN message board. I was apart of the great phone call of 2001, amongst other hilarious fiascos. You can blame southsider for inviting me here. Sox (as in the white ones) 4 (the hip way to write "for") Life (in constant search of one) in (well, in) PA (PEE-AYE) I'd go by just PA, but I've been told that makes me look like a grandfather. I'd be happy with "PA, of the hill people" In case there are any mods out there. What was the great phone call of 2001? I came around in late 2002 or early 2003 so that was before my time.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:45 PM) He had one for the apple on his son's head. The second one was for the guy that forced him to shoot the apple off his son's head ... in case he missed. Oh well see I didn't know that. I probably should have known about the 2nd arrow. I missed that part I guess.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:43 PM) When I see you post, I always think about "the second arrow". lol the second arrow huh?
