  1. QUOTE(Jake @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) I'm not sure how much a guy should be proud of that. Yeah, especially a first round pick.
  2. I can't stand that stretch call. I hate it because most of us know it's not goin out anyways.
  3. I'm 19 and I'm gonna get grey hairs if we don't get a win by the end of the weekend.
  4. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) as said 9.5 game lead 29 games over .500 I like your positive thinking, but right now I think it's impossible to feel good about this team. I remember when losing 3 in a row was terrible, losing 6 in a row is hard to think of a word.
  5. Good at bat for Joe, but the bad luck keeps going on and on and on.
  6. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Jesus christ guys were in a 5 game most likely its going to be a 6 game losing streak look at all of the other teams longest losing streak 6 games is probaly the average everyteam goes through this point sometime in a 162 game season and b****ing on a message baord is not going to change that. Yeah, we all probably never expected this after the great start this team had. If we were a .500 team, people would still be upset, but wouldn't be as shocking. But none the less we gotta get a win anywhere, we're going down the same road Kansas City is right now.
  7. I guess I just like to suffer. I keep watching it and hoping for something good to happen but the last week it hasn't.
  8. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) 2 runs in the last 26 innings. f*** you Kenny Williams. Got off your ass. I know it's easy to get mad about it, but there's not a whole lot he can do right now. Waivers is the only option and it looks grimmer and grimmer every day.
  9. It's impossible for Timo to be struggling if he gets 2 hits in a blue moon.
  10. William Tell and the apple should run with the arrow as the treasurer.
  11. Yep, losing Ordonez, Lee, Valentin, and Thomas for most of the year will decrease the home run production. Plus Rowand and Uribe have had a decline in homers this year.
  12. I really want McCain to get into office. I thought he got royally screwed in the 2000 election, and I'm a Bush fan.
  13. there's just something about Ronald that makes things funny.
  14. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) The division is in hand. Simple as that. Yeah, yeah, go back in history and find some teams that blew 10+ game leads down the strech, but this team is not built to crumble after posting the best record in baseball for nearly the entire season. Say what you will about the guy, but, I just don't think Ozzie will allow that to happen. I don't think Ozzie will let this happen either. He seems pretty intent on making sure that everyone gets a chance to play. We'll pull out of this slump.
  15. He doesn't sound too bad once you think about our lineup. I just wish there was a decent shortstop or third basemen that we could pick up.
  16. yeah I think his job is pretty much secured for the time being. This team just doesn't have the hitters capable for a potent offense.
  17. I've finally come around on the Griffey bandwagon. We desperately need this guy and soon.
  18. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) Just a comparison of how bad Dye has been lately. I know it was. And I agree with everybody, I just wanted to see if anyone's opinion had changed.
  19. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) Dye is 5 for his last 40 ABs with only 1 HR, 2 RBI, and 10 K's! Magglio has more hits and RBI in his last 3 games - OUCH! I don't really want to bring this up, but I gotta ask, where do you think we'd be with Magglio on our team?
  20. well not the way I was looking the game to end. But whatever.......
  21. Down to our last out. We need back to back to back homers. Or something like that.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) There's a better chance of me winning Favorite Poster of the Year on soxtalk.com than there is of the Sox getting Griffey Jr. now. haha I think there's still a better chance of Griffey Jr. coming here than me winning Poster of the Year on soxtalk.com
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Now, the big story tonight from the Sox side will be how we never gave up, and showed great heart coming back. I hope that's the case.
