  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 03:56 PM) I thought they did plenty with that doubleheader sweep. We are just horrible. True, going 3-3 against them the last week and a half should've been enough for us.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 03:55 PM) Twins lose. Mauer had a chance to pass Cabrera in the batting race with a 4 for 4 game, but weakly pulled a grounder to Fielder. 3 years ago we took care of the Tigers for the Twins. They of course can't repay us the favor, but it doesn't even matter if we can't even find a way to win.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) If it was a zero or one game lead, that Tigers/Twins game would have been so upsetting today. Yeah exactly. But it'll be a 3 game lead in a bit. If Mauer gets a hit he'll be ahead of Cabrera for BA.
  4. Austin Jackson with a good catch off Revere too.
  5. Austin Jackson with a jumping catch at the wall off Span. Woudln't have been gone since it would've hit the 20 foot wall, but still.....
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) But hey, at least they kept him batting 3rd all year. It doesn't even matter anymore, and I know Ventura's reasoning for leaving Rios batting 5th was that he was comfortable there. But I would've preferred Rios batting 3rd and Dunn batting 5th.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) Twins threaten, don't score Doesn't even matter to me unless the Sox can pull a miracle and win. Just so frustrating to see a pleasant season for the most part end in such a sour note if they can't pull off an improbable comeback.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 02:43 PM) One of the few things we haven't done while choking is throw a wild pitch on a IBB. Might as well Nate That'd be the perfect cap to the season.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 08:37 PM) Strange last inning, as Bailey was taking about a minute for every throw. Then, with 2 outs, the crowd was as quiet as can be (on the road I know, but typically you see them on their feet at least). Plus it was only a 1 nothing game, the Pirates were in it until the last out. Pirates no hit for the first time since 1971 against Bob Gibson.
  10. Homer Bailey no hitter against Pittsburgh. 1-0 win.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 10:18 PM) Dunn will K. Nasty stuff with a strike out prone hitter. Do something here Adam.
  12. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Can't we even get a break? Nah. Just tough luck all around.
  13. I had no idea Rodney had that low of an ERA. Wow.
  14. I'm in. Haven't changed my avatar in like 4 years so it's time. Megan Fox is a b**** anyway. GO SOX!
  15. Overall I'm happy with how the season has been, except once again it seems we struggle in September just like we did in 2008, 2005, 2003, maybe 2000? What I'm getting at is struggling in meaningful games in September. It'd be awesome to run the table on the final 7 games, get in, and do some damage. I am happy and surprised with how the season has gone, but with leading the division like we have done for so long, I won't be satisfied unless we reach the playoffs.
  16. I'm going to be the biggest Twins fan come this weekend. Hope for some Twins wins.
  17. The Royals must hate the White Sox. Take it to us, then play terrible against the Tigers.
  18. Royals tie it up and then give up a lead off double to Fielder in the top of the 9th.
