QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 22, 2013 -> 01:58 PM) When I was like a 9th or 10th grader, I picked the entire Final Four correctly, but missed both National Championship teams. If I'd gotten the championship correctly, that would have been one of the best brackets of all time. I think I'm like 2 of 16 or 3 of 20 or something on Final Four teams since. My best bracket recently has been in 2008. I had Kansas winning it all picked correctly, 3 of the Final 4, and 6 of the Elite 8. Oddly I think I only had 6 or 7 Sweet 16 teams right that year.

Wow I really hate that Henderson guy. Pisses me off.

Dang, I wanted to pick Harvard as an upset but too many people saying New Mexico was a Final 4 darkhorse scared me off. But the farthest I had them going was the Sweet 16 in one bracket, and getting knocked out by Arizona in my other bracket.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 08:22 PM) I love Trey, but he needs to stay one more year. Hardaway is NBA ready now. I'm already writing off Burke and Hardaway unfortunately and I'm really hoping Robinson doesn't pull a one and done because he is nowhere close to being ready.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 08:21 PM) I can dream. Haha dreams seem to work for Wisconsin sometime, kind of like the fade away near half court shot against Michigan.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 08:17 PM) I think the bigger problem was that Michigan gave up 51 points to the Badgers in the second half... Michigan missed some chances in the 1st half, but if we are living in a fantasy land, I assume that Wisconsin also wont shoot 5 from 29 either. But who cares, they likely wont play again until next year, and hopefully McGary, Hardaway, Burke are gone I can't see McGary leaving after 1 year, could be wrong though.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 08:13 PM) Barkley saying Michigan needs big guy to step up, after McGary goes for 13 and 9. I'll take that every game from him. Heck yeah. Michigan needs to have constant energy from McGary, Morgan, and Horford, creating a 3 headed monster.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 07:50 PM) You must have been watching a different game, Michigan never controlled the tempo against Wisconsin. Michigan scored under 60 in regulation 4 times this year, lost all 4. Thats why Im surprised people are so high on VCU against Michigan, VCU speeding the game up is what Michigan wants. Yeah I don't understand that either, Michigan matches up great with VCU and good with Kansas too by the style both teams play. But in order to beat VCU, Burke is going to have to play a lot better than today. Michigan had Hardaway, Robinson, McGary, and others step up, but all year long the 3 point and jump shot has been inconsistant for the role players, especially the Freshmen that play.

To me it sort of looks like Southern is getting most of the 50/50 balls and most of the 50/50 calls.

I love that St. Mary's team. Great effort in the end. Sad that Dellavadova missed a few FT's down the wire too.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 17, 2013 -> 05:18 PM) I actually like Michigan being in the same region as Kansas. If the Wolverines get by VCU. I do too. Not that it means much but my brother is a South Dakota alum and lives in South Dakota. He's watched a lot of South Dakota State. Says they're a scrappy team with an unbelievable point guard. Certainly will be interesting. Go Blue!

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 09:34 PM) It'll be interesting to see if the Creighton win can get St Mary's into the dance cause their resume pretty much sucks outside that one home win. I would say they make it in even though they just lost handedly to Gonzaga in the WCC championship. Not that it means much but they have a 33 RPI and BPI but are outside the top 100 in SoS I believe. St. Mary's finished 27-6 with 3 of the losses to Gonzaga. I my guess is they'll get a 10 or 11 seed.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2013 -> 05:21 PM) I think McGary had 4 fouls, right? If nothing else, you've got to protect him. Look how close he came to that last tipin. That was Morgan who had the shot at tipping it in. Still need to have a couple guys trying to get an offensive board in my opinion. Also puts even more pressure on Burke shooting the FT's I'd say.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 10, 2013 -> 05:18 PM) Choke. Missing FTs. Don't deserve to win. Still should've been 2 and ball. Yeah should've been called that, but it'd be hard to find a crew of refs actually calling it with that magnitude of a game that close to the end. Just had to hit free throws.....or not give up 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chance opportunities.

Hindsight is 20/20 and not that it would've mattered considering Indiana doubled up Michigan in rebounds but why wouldn't Michigan have anyone down there to possibly get an offensive rebound. I would've taken the risk of fouling or not being set defensively.

Fangraphs: What's required for a Paul Konerko infield hit?
A very generous call that probably should've been an error of some sort.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 9, 2013 -> 10:38 AM) It was a great performance by Boozer in the 4th. Yeah the game changed after Boozer got that technical foul and decided to be agressive and go straight towards the basket against the foul happy Jazz. Very impressive 4th quarter for him.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 06:58 AM) According to Pomeroy, TCU has played four teams ranked 300 or lower. They beat all four by a combined 13 points. I think they may be worse than your average 16 seed. With the one-year waiting rule for the NBA, we aren't far away from an official 16 over 1 upset in the tourney. Yeah this is kind of a sour grapes deal but we should've seen it last year because the refs definitely helped Syracuse out. I see Indiana lost, guess Michigan (or Duke) would like to take the #1 ranking back. But Michigan will have a tough road game vs Wisconsin on Saturday.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 02:21 PM) I know nobody wants to hear about the Manti Te'o story anymore, but Tuiasasopo admitted he was in love with Manti Te'o to Dr. Phil. This entire story is just so weird. Then ESPN has a story saying he's taking an indefinite leave from Twitter. It's so rough to tweet and be in the Twitter world. Not even worth having a story about......heck I shouldn't even be talking about this worthless information, haha.
