QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 12, 2013 -> 08:04 PM) Toussaint can easily be taken out of a game. He's running so gingerly right now. lol and Gardner is due for a turnover soon too. -

To the 3rd OT. I love Michigan but a sick part of me would be relieved if they lose. They're far from a great team. Just get it over with! I can't imagine a BCS game for this team right now. -

Surprised Penn St. didn't try for 2 just for the heck of it. Wow Michigan you make me sad. -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) Andy Gonzalez lol NOOOO NOT HIM!!!!!!!

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 01:59 PM) No way KC should do that. I wouldn't part with anything other than a 6th. Let's be real, KC's start is nice, but with Denver there they are massive underdogs, even with Tony G. It's a new system from when he was there and it's not worth more than that for half a season. Fasano and Kelce are due back in a couple weeks anyways I think KC only got a 2nd round pick when they traded him 4 years ago. Gonzalez hasn't diminished that much, but with it being his last year and seeming absolutely positive about it, you don't give anything higher than a 6th pick.

Love seeing Uribe hit the go ahead-game winning homer, but it is just typical Sox baseball missing the bunt!

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 10:26 PM) Probably true. I want to sock this people that have 4 fantasy teams too. I can understand 2 but more then that is absurd (and I'm sure we have some absurd people on here...afterall this is soxtalk...we are all sports fanatics). But I can't stand having more then 1-2 teams. If you do, you are no better then the people who have 6 NCAA brackets and tell you that they picked all the upsets or have so and so in this bracket but in the other bracket I still have em so its okay. Speaking of fantasy...went into Sunday night with a 30 point lead and Tony Gonzalez just gets a TD that I think is going to put him over me (I think in my league Tony is now going to be at 31). s***. I'm #1 in points (and no one is close) but I've given up 100 more points then the next closest team in my league and will now be 2-2. Uggh. Note: I moved to 1 fantasy team a year ago and its great. Will not ever switch back. I have 3 and find it a pain frequently because it seems I'm always playing someone I have on another team. I'd prefer to go down to 1 team eventually, just the competitiveness always gets me when money is involved in fantasy football!

Not a fan of the Andrus bunt during the situation.

Wow what a finish!

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 09:54 PM) The year KC beat Buffalo the Bills went 4-12 and the Chiefs went 11-5, and it still took overtime for KC to win it. The Bills own the Chiefs. lol exactly, it was almost a tie. I think the field goal was with 5 seconds left in the game. I don't remember exactly what happened, but Buffalo was in field goal range but they screwed it up somehow during overtime. And who can forget the 1993 season AFC Championship game......haha

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 06:08 PM) Broncos will shatter points record and positive points differential this season, from the looks of it. Jags may shatter negative points differential as well. Out of the top 4 teams in point differential currently. 1. Denver 2. Seattle 3. Kansas City 4. Indianapolis Teams 2-4 have played Jacksonville. Coincidence? I think not!

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) I think Cleveland is moreso like last years Chiefs. Yes they have won 2 in a row but I dont see them winning more than 5-6 games but a lot of talent on that team. The biggest difference for the Chiefs is Andy Reid of course. The attitude he's brought to Kansas City has been better than expected. What a difference a new quarterback makes too. Wow. Part of the KC's problem last year was their offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. The guy seriously looked lost and probably should have been coaching a high school team with his offensive playbook. And Romeo Crenell is a great defensive coordinator, but he just doesn't cut it as a head coach unfortunately. I'm one of the biggest Chiefs fans on this board so to me it's amazing in the turnaround. But I also know they've had an easier schedule then most teams. After their week 10 bye week, it'll get interesting. They play Denver twice, San Diego twice, Indianapolis, and Washington...maybe by then Washington will have turned it around.......and Oakland. Going into the year I was hoping KC would be 6-3 going into the bye week in order to have a shot at the playoffs. Now I'd love to see them at 7-2. Tennessee, Oakland, Houston, Cleveland, and Buffalo. This is kind of a scheduling anomaly in regards to playing Buffalo for the 7th year in a row I think. Buffalo is 5-1 in the pats 6 years, haha.

whitesox.com has an article with the headline "Keppinger figures to be 100% by November." I'd prefer Keppinger to figure he's 100% gone by November........... That would be my favorite moment but just a dream....

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 28, 2013 -> 09:58 PM) I would love it to be Thome or Konerko, but Robin apparently wants a current or former hitting coach. What is Rudy Jaramillo doing these days? I bet we can entice Don Mattingly to give up his manager job in LA to become a hitting coach here.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2013 -> 08:40 PM) I don't think there is any question they were waiting to announce it, at least until after the game. I would bet they told Manto earlier today that he had been relieved, and Manto decided he didn't want to finish the season. That would seem the most logical. But this season has questioned logic in nearly every aspect! I bet you're right though.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 02:35 PM) I'll second Pablo, loved watching that guy play when he was here. Where's the Ben Davis fan club? lol the Ben Davis situation on Soxtalk in 2004..... Some of mine. Lyle Mouton Darren Lewis Noberto Martin Lance Johnson Joey Cora Herbert Perry Tony Graffanino Willie Harris Pablo Ozuna Dave Martinez

I'm in a 10 team league too and it's amazing how much talent difference there is on rosters compared to a 12 man league. -
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 07:50 PM) Probably more like 450 PA's. Yeah, most expected a lot better from him(I know I did) but an F is pretty harsh for someone who for a few pretty good stretches was the Sox' most consistent hitter. He had a couple of months where he hit over .300 and had a decent OBP too. I gave him a D. I was figuring he'd be a little bit better but I'd be around the D to F range for him too. For crying out loud the guy had a higher batting average than on base percentage for 1/3 of the year. Not too long ago someone made a job about having a below .400 slug% in slow pitch softball or something like that. One of the funniest posts of the season I thought!

QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 07:13 AM) That's not heavy at RB. Those guys are all question marks this season. Yeah maybe "heavy" is the wrong term, but he has a lot of RB's compared to me at least. I took the Tate for Hopkins trade though. Thanks for the advice everyone! I didn't want to get rid of Jones or Cruz so I was just trying to get people to tell me not to do that haha. -

Ok I have a fantasy trade question. I'm in a 12 team league, I'm stacked at WR with Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, and Victor Cruz. I can play all 3 at once because of the Flex position and I have DeAndre Hopkins as my 4th WR. But I'm very weak at RB. I have Arian Foster and Rashard Mendenhall as my 2 running backs. Chris Ivory and Micheal Bush are now my only 2 backups. So I basically have nothing at the RB. So naturally someone who's heavy at RB and weak at WR approached me and gave me 3 trade possibilities. 1. Victor Cruz for Maurice Jones-Drew 2. Julio Jones for Maurice Jones-Drew 3. DeAndre Hopkins for Ben Tate. He also has Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Ryan Matthews and Ahmad Bradshaw for RB's. Think any of those 3 trades might be a good idea? Or asking for another RB instead? Help please! I'm 3-0 right now whereas he's 0-3 so he probably is pretty desperate. -
Rios hits for the cycle!

I completely understand the Roughing the Kicker rule, but seriously, that was so close to being blocked.
