  1. I feel like the Sox need to go 5-2 this home stand to get just any sort of life or momentum.
  2. It's hard for me to blame Gardenhire for the last few years. Their GM hasn't made the best of moves including signing Mauer to that huge of a deal. I understand he's a hometown hero, but still.....
  3. I agree Kaminsky is incredibly annoying. Can't wait until he's gone.
  4. QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Mar 21, 2015 -> 11:48 AM) I'm over one too many states. I'm over 1 too many counties to get Waterloo, Iowa stations. Dangit!
  5. Wichita St. a 7 seed? These guys love making storylines. Possible Wichita St./Kansas matchup with a possible Butler/Notre Dame matchup, both in the round of 32. But what a walkthrough for Kentucky which shouldn't be surprising.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 8, 2015 -> 03:15 PM) I'd almost believe an NCAA conspiracy for refs favoring northern Iowa if someone brought it up. That's funny because I'd say the same thing last Saturday with the UNI/Wichita St. game in favor of the Shockers. I wanted UNI to play WSU again on a neutral court but that didn't happen. Happy the Panthers won the tournament though!
  7. Watching that Kansas and West Virginia game, the refs really let Kansas have their way in the 2nd half and overtime. Kind of go ridiculous.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 12, 2015 -> 10:07 PM) Only fair. Both teams gave a game away at others place. Michigan was never making tourney anyway. They lack a go to guy at the end of the game. Irvin shooting and talent wise should be that guy but he is too streaky and just doesn't have a killer mentality unfortunately. Us Michigan fans have been pretty fortunate having Burke and Hardaway Jr. and Stauskas the last couple years to be that guy.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 5, 2015 -> 04:56 PM) I was looking forward to April 18 with Sale on the mound in Detroit...ya know, just to see what would happen. At least there should be other times this showdown can continue.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 1, 2015 -> 10:43 PM) Growing up the Super Bowl was just beating up on Buffalo year after year. Lol me too. Those are the first 4 Super Bowls I remember.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 1, 2015 -> 10:12 PM) What an awesome game that was. I think it topped Super Bowl XXXIV for me with St. Louis and Tennessee. I loved Steve McNair's grit in that game and it came down to the final play.
  12. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 09:41 PM) Golden State is getting curb stomped by the f***ing Jazz. I'm biased being a Jazz fan but they have some young talent. Too bad they don't have a superstar in the making. The Hawks are fun to watch. 3/5 of their starting lineup were playing in Utah a few seasons ago so that helps with liking to watch Atlanta.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 18, 2015 -> 04:33 PM) LeVert done for year. Crap season gets crappier. What a blow. Now we'll be seeing more of Chapman again. I know he's just a freshman, but the kid looks lost out there. Plus he misses so many layups. It's sad that we may have seen the last of LeVert in a Michigan uniform, but we've been pretty spoiled the last 3 seasons with 2 Big Ten Championships, a National Runner-up, and another Elite 8 appearance.
  14. Carolina's returner Brenton Bersin looks like he should be in the Asgaardian army fighting along Thor's side.

  16. On ESPN Saturday before the Arizona/Carolina game, Suzy Kolber had a strange tone to her voice when she said she was in for Stuart Scott. I haven't followed his story as much as I should have, but it made me wonder Obviously just by her tone. Coworkers would probably know the end was near and Colin Cowherd earlier today mentioned they all were told 2 weeks ago it wasn't looking good.
  17. I have to decide whether to start Alex Smith or Cam Newton in my championship game. Don't ask me how I made it to the championship haha.
  18. I was 18 when I started over 10 years ago. In some cases I feel like I was more knowledgeable then instead of now. Mainly because I don't get to read Soxtalk as much as I used to.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 08:19 AM) Are you surprised? That's actually one thing that has bothered me for a while. I expect this to be a male-heavy site, but I think we've gone so far that there are hardly any women posting at all. Getting rid of the Hot Chicks thread might help that, but not sure what else would really help. I think we (as a group) have probably not been too appealing to women. But it's hard to unless they're super into sports and the White Sox. I'm a single dad!
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 1, 2014 -> 12:30 PM) Yup, you guys definitely deserve to be in the top 25 at this point so congrats. Northern Iowa sitting with the most votes out of the top 25 at the moment, hopefully they'll sneak their way in there next week, it'd be nice to have 2 valley teams ranked again. UNI is 7-0 for the first time since 1964 back when they were a division 2 school. They should be pretty good this year. A very old team that goes 9 or 10 deep. I may have to go see my alma mater play this year.
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 20, 2014 -> 10:46 PM) Someone had to lose to Oakland eventually...I just didn't expect it to be the Chiefs. Oh I definitely did. Maybe it's because I'm a pessimistic Chiefs fan full of senseless let downs. I knew this was completely a trap game. If I bet on games I definitely would've taken Oakland to cover the spread no doubt about it. Terrible loss.
  22. Joe Dirt 2 coming next year. I can't believe the first movie was made in 2001. Doesn't seem that long ago.
  23. I don't mind the Giants at all, but I really want the Royals to win. Come on KC!
