This just came up in the Filibuster and I thought it was a great comment. Over the years I have become friends with a few posters here by meeting them in person. Then facebook came and I even have friends of soxtalk posters now as friends.

I'm not sure I'd want to be anonymous. Most of the people here are great people.

The vast majority of people I have met from here have been awesome.

I've never met anyone from any forum in the 12 years or so I've been a frequent message board user.

I've met one person and he was pretty cool.

I've met a few people but at least 2 of them no longer post here.

I'm not sure if there's a connection there or not...

I haven't met anyone from the board, and I think I'm Facebook friends with just two posters.

I've met lostfan and I've chatted with a few other posters (balta, Tex and bigsqwert) outside of SoxTalk.

Met one guy, shared texts with a few others, have worked on outside projects with some, and plan on getting to Chicago one of these days for a big old meet up where we all get drunk and play bags cornhole and eat sausages

Ive met 1 person that I know of from Soxtalk.

Im pretty anonymous although a few people do know my real name.

I've met shipps, lostfan, BigSqwert, MilkmanDelivers, Y2HH, and some other less frequent posters and ex-posters in real life. We've had Soxtalk meetups and a website patio party in the past. I'm sorry that I missed the softball games. There just hasn't been as much going on these days now that we're older, married, etc.

I stalk wite on fb. I mean I am friends with him on FB

Haven't managed to meet anyone from here yet, but I did sell a Zune to Lostfan, and have conversations with him outside of Soxtalk on occasion.

I think I've met about 10-12 people from here. 1 was in my wedding party (and vice versa) and 2 others were at my wedding. All started here. Kind of crazy.

One good "real-life" friend from here and two Facebook friends.

I know and worked with someone from SouthSideSox for a while, but I wouldn't really call us friends anymore.

Ya I've met way too many people on this site. Been to 2 peoples weddings and still stay in pretty consistent contact with 2 people at the moment. Very sad. ;)

Tough sell

Met RockRaines at work, didn't know it was him the first time we actually met.

Other than that pretty anonymous.

Only really knew one person who I told to sign up and think he has been banned so I guess that'd put me in the anonymous category.

The fact that so many of us feel connected is probably why we stay active year round and the arguments get so intense.

I forgot about how many of you are on my Facebook friends list. :)

Greg and I go picking daisies every Sunday morning.
